Dear Sweet Sophe, showed so much promise, but if you’re a dog who wouldn’t walk on wet grass, just couldn’t push her into the show ring. She just wanted to hang with the humans, so who was I to argue. Miss you like crazy Sophe.

The Day We All Dread No2. Said goodbye to dear sweet Sophie today. Really sad. Rapidly downhill over last few days. Diabetes, pancreatitis. Days of Insulin and force feeding puke from a can. Two hourly Blood tests and insulin injections were easy, but didn’t stabilise the blood sugar levels. She wasn’t Sophie: blind (in last week), deaf (not just female schipperke deafness) disorientation and weak. Bye Sophe, absolute sweetheart. #schipperke #schipperkesofinstagram #schipperkes by @coco.and.sophe.schipperkes

We’ve been quiet lately: we moved house. Now on the west coast of Australia, south of Perth. In a tiny town, with a beach 150 metres away. Only 1 shop but other shops, post office, doctors etc only 7 kms away using quiet tree-lined roads. This pool in the backyard kept us cool in the 40C days over January. Sophe still sad but she’s an absolute honey. Have our name down for a puppy … should be in 2 or 3 months time. We happy, very happy. #schipperkes #schipperkesofinstagram #schipperke #nowinwesternaustralia by @coco.and.sophe.schipperkes

Adding to @milowhy and the “does anyone else’s schipperke need a pillow?” Here’s Miss Sophe and the answer is “almost always”. Hi to everyone, we’ve been quiet lately but will fill you in soon. 🐾 by @coco.and.sophe.schipperkes

If there’s a competition for the World’s Best Wisteria. we’d win the #jervisbay chapter. Guessing it’s about 25 metres long. Good dose of #gardeningaustralia “how to prune” and care for. by @coco.and.sophe.schipperkes

Mid 80s. Dennis the Destroyer Dalmation and the styrofoam from inside a bean bag he’d carted out to the backyard then ripped open. Should have given him some of pennytheschipperke ‘s chickens. Oh well, makes schipperkes look like little angels. taken in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia by @coco.and.sophe.schipperkes

There’s no point in pleading with the driver Sophe (RH drive in Australia). There’s a rule where we are that forbids dogs sitting on the front seat!! #schipperkes #schipperke #schipperkesofinstagram taken in Jervis Bay - Vincentia by @coco.and.sophe.schipperkes

Princess Sophia The Brave after her walk today. Washed off rocks (but small wave in shallow water). She swam to shore and carried on as usual. 🐾 #schipperke #schipperkesofinstagram #schipperkes #jervisbay by @coco.and.sophe.schipperkes

Sophe gets all the reading jobs. New book “Beyond climate grief” from #drjonicanewby #jonica.newby is a really worthwhile and practical read. Thanks Sophie, not everyone has a #schipperke to help keep them happy. #schipperkes #schipperkesofinstagram PS: Climate Grief ... it’s a thing! by @coco.and.sophe.schipperkes
