This month, I laid my mother to rest, and it has been the hardest journey I’ve ever faced. In the midst of my grief, my family and friends came together to ensure she was honored with the most beautiful homegoing brunch, a celebration that reflected love, grace, and embraced her life. I am deeply grateful for Tookie, Nikki, Bj, Gwen, aunt Nell, Honey, Mokie, and Mia, for their generous contributions. I didn’t have to lift a finger, I couldn’t have done it without you guys. I would also like to give thanks to everyone who offered their comfort, presence, and prayers during this time. Your kindness has been a source of strength and a reminder that even in sorrow, love surrounds us.I know my mother would be so proud and the last time she spoke to me, she asked me to just hold her. I’m grateful that I had the chance to hold her like I would never see her again. 🙏🏾 by @coco.jordann
