Point Reyes is an otherworldly place. No cell service, no people, just coastal views, endless beaches, and hills that feel like Switzerland📍🌊 Look no further for the best Point Reyes itinerary + save this post for your next trip.

Day 1
1. Breakfast in Point Reyes Station: Grab brekkie and rye lattes at Brickmaiden Breads. Check out Point Reyes Surf Shop and Palace market, which has a ton of local cheeses and delicacies.
2. Inverness Shipwreck
3. Cypress Tree Tunnel
4. Chimney Rock Trail
5. Point Reyes Lighthouse: check out the famous lighthouse but be prepared to walk up and down a few hundred steps
6. Picnic lunch on North Beach or South Beach
7. See the elephant seals at Drake’s Beach
8. Go kayaking at Heart’s Desire Beach
9. Dinner at Hog Island Oyster company

Day 2
1. Brekkie at Bovine Bakery and coffee from Toby’s
2. Tomales Point Trail: my favorite hike through tule elk preserve
3. Cheese tasting at Point Reyes Farmstead cheese… get the Mac and cheese and be sure to book in advance
4. Dinner at Mable’s or Side Street Kitchen

HIKES:
-Chimney Rock: 1.6 miles - beautiful way to start the day
-Tomales Point: this is my favorite. Easy but long - 9.5 miles with breathtaking views and through a tule elk preserve.
-Alamere Falls: I haven’t done it because it’s 13.5 miles but ends with a waterfall on the beach.

ACTIVITIES:
-See elephant seals at drake’s beach (my #1 favorite thing to do)
-Cheese tasting at Point Reyes Farmstead @pointreyescheese
-Inverness Shipwreck: a quick, cool thing to check out
-Cypress tree tunnel: beautiful walk along tree tunnel
-Kayak at Heart’s Desire Beach
-Shop and walk around Point Reyes Station: check out Point Reyes Surf Shop
-Mead tasting at Heidrun winery @heidrunmeadery
-Picnic on a beach. If you want no crowds and just beautiful sand and ocean check out North Beach and South beach. If you want more sun and a pretty walk, check out Limantour Beach.

Mori Point is just 25 minutes from San Francisco and has the most stunning views and trails. We’re talking dramatic bluffs, unreal Pacific views, and trails that make you feel like you’re at the edge of the world. On the way, be sure to stop at @rosalindbakery in Pacifica. 📍 Save this post for the best Big Sur itinerary. I’ve done this trip several times and think I’ve finally cracked the perfect trip.

Day 1: All Ventana Spa Day (a MUST!) and dinner at hotel
Day 2: Big Sur Hikes, parks, Henry Miller Library, dinner at Post Ranch Inn
Day 3: Big Sur Beach and Carmel (Pfeiffer Beach, Carmel Mission, shopping+dinner in Carmel)
Day 4: Point Lobos State Park, Monterey aquarium, and Pebble Beach (17 mile drive)

-Garrapatta state park, The Soberanes Point Trail
-Partington Cove Trailhead
-julia pfeiffer burns state park: mcway falls: To get here, take the 0.5 mile trail to the overlook point.
-Pfeiffer beach, Pfeiffer Falls trail

-bixby bridge: Castle Rock Viewpoint
-Alila Ventana spa (Big Sur)
-Henry Miller Library (Big Sur)
