Man, I really love Alaska. A heavy fog moved in quickly and quietly; my flight was cancelled. I am starving and will have to find a place to camp tonight. But first, I need to go to the grocery store and buy snacks.

To be a little emo, I started surfing during an internship at USC’s Institute for Creative Technology, in 2008. I fell completely in love. I spent a good decade of my life doing it. And then I stopped. I fell out of love and had to move on. What’s wild is when I finally moved back to Alaska, I didn’t really feel the need to surf and thought it was just novelty here.

Actually, it sucks. Do not come.

I’m incredibly grateful for my journey. Glory be to God! 🙏🏽

Also, if you didn’t hear, I’m moving to Vancouver, WA to continue my career as a Financial Coach. I’m pretty stoked about it. 🏄🏽‍♂️ taken in Nikiski Public Pool by @cococurry4eva

I’ve seen a lot of memes about making your 8 (and 80) year old self proud, lately.

So, I decided to bootpack chilkoot knoll @resortalyeska; I went up to maybe get a few decent turns and do a straight air. The vis and snow weren’t that great today, but there were moments it came together. On the next lap, I had a feeling to go for a backflip. This is my first and only attempt at a ski resort

The first time I rode Alyeska was about 30 years ago

I didn’t think much of it at first and still kinda don’t. Just been wanted to do this my whole life 🙏🏽
