Multiple typhoons are hitting my beloved home country and my fear for the safety of my family and countryfolk is breaking my heart. Yes, corruption is a big part of the lack of resources AND so is the tons of trash and microplastics produced by the west that gets dumped there, clogging the little infrastructure they have. It’s necessary for us in the global north/ belly of the beast to share in the grievances of our home countries and help where we can.

I wish I can give more, but I am grateful to have this small platform to contribute what I can in hopes to inspire other art makers in the diaspora to do the same.

had to bust out the butterfly sleeves last night lol. thank you so much @smartbomb_oakland and @barshiruoakland for allowing me to tell my story through my favorite records. what a thrill to hear my beloved filipino songs on this hi-fi system.

my most humblest gratitude to all my lovely friends and @bindlestiff_sf fam who came out to support. yall made a bitch feel so loved. sheesh how did i get so lucky???

woof…one run down, one to go. after multiple exorcisms, i’m dead but it’s so worth it. what a freaky treat to work on this piece to celebrate 10 years of queer excellence at @bindlestiff_sf with @queer.as.fuq .

@twinkslayer wrote a deliciously blasphemous story in Most Cunning Serpent where i play a grieving sister possessed by a lustful demon thirsty for justice and liberation. it was a challenge as a comedic actor to capture the timing of horror but thanks to our mighty direk @_raphaellouis we were able to craft a demon i could embody wholly.

as dark as this piece is, it was made with so much love and light and care. raph, it was such a dream to work with you. thank you for creating such a mindful space for us to play freely. thank you for feeding our bodies and our souls with yummy food and grounding sessions. @jord_ahn and @kylemelgarejo i couldn’t have wished for better scene partners. our little circle of trust was so strong. yall are such grounded and generous actors and i’m grateful to be able to learn from yall. i felt so safe and supported with you guys. thank you for letting me put it on you night after night lol.

thank you to @sandraholla our lovely intimacy coach who supported us in creating a safe space for us to explore provactive things. we “greened” the crap out of this piece.

biiiig shout out to @smooth_landyn who helped us with our fight choreo. it was so fun learning from you.

and to the QAF producers, tech, cast, and crew. thank you for welcoming me into this family. it’s an honor to watch yall work. gonna miss everyone so much!

lastly, thank you to my body for allowing me to do this work. even in my big age, i still struggle a lot with body dysmorphia, self esteem issues and self doubt and i am so greatful for the opportunity to prove to my brain that i am capable of doing scary unimaginable things. and i am even more grateful for the opportunity to release and scream as hard as i have through demon reyna. i’ll take exorcisms over therapy any day lol.

best pride weekend ever!!

thank you @d_chewee and max for the great privilege of getting to witness your beautiful union. it was such a heartfelt day full of tears of joy, love, healing, and hope for the future.

maraming salamat to @sariwafarm , @omzseven , zoe and rizzo for hosting us, feeding us and filling us with so much creative inspiration. it was such a joy eating and singing with you all at your wonderful home.

@a.samson.manalo - thank you for one of the best lunches i’ve ever had at kilig in seattle.

lastly, im not sure how i got so damn lucky in this world to find my @bindlestiff_sf fam. the roots of this collective runs deep, built by years and years of creative vision rooted in being of service to our community and each other. thank you to the OG’s for laying down this foundation and for holding us close despite the many challenges that test us. 30+ years as a volunteer run arts org in one of the most expensive cities in the world, let alone the only filipino-american black box theater in the country, could not be possible without the love and magic that came before us and the commitment to keep it going by those who come after us. thank you for all the legacy, tradition, chismis and love! never give up! ♾️
