The best businesses were never just companies, but communities that happened to sell something

Our expert Rhea thinks every business should be building a community around what it does.

That’s what Heyouthere community is there for, proof that community isn’t a bonus, it’s the business.

What would your project look like if you built it as a community first?

On Tuesday we had our first session of Lead with more than grit, with Rhea Ong Yiu.

The theme was curiosity: staying open when we don't have the answer yet.

Rhea told us the story of a plant where predictive analytics had failed for two years.

Instead of another survey on functionalities, the approach changed: ask the operators what the most frustrating part of their job was.

The result? Nothing to do with analytics: they wanted to step out for a coffee without losing sight of production.

The fix was bringing the data on an iPad they could take with them. Just looking at the human problem first, adding analytics after.

Thanks to Rhea Ong Yiu for leading it, and to Murat Bayhan and Mahmood Hermes for putting their own questions on the table.

Next session is on Courage: something not linear, that doesn't build up neatly until you're "ready".

We will publish the event soon, open to heyouthere members.

Investors can smell a cash grab before you’ve finished your pitch. Our expert Rhea says if your mission isn’t sincere, the people who matter will know it.

That’s what Heyouthere community is
there for: helping you build something true enough to hold up under scrutiny.

Is your “why” something you’d say the
same way to a stranger as to an investor?

Share your thoughts below.

The best bosses don’t manage your every move, they trust you’ll make the right one.

Rhea Ong Yiu believes trust isn’t a word you say, it’s how you show up.

The same matters when you’re developing an idea: having people around you who give you the space to explore can make a difference.

When was the last time someone trusted you enough to let you figure it out?

Looking to develop a project idea, or discover one? We're very pleased to offer a new opportunity to all our members.

Our expert Rhea Ong Yiu is bringing us a three-part experiential leadership journey inspired by her book Adventures with Coco: Leadership and Life's Little Wonders, packed with real-life adventures with her dog Coco in the hills around Basel.

(And with a bit of luck, Coco might make a cameo during the calls.)

Designed for founders and anyone developing an idea, these will be interactive working sessions.

Through group conversation and hot-seat coaching, @Rhea Ong Yiu will explore what may be getting in the way and help build momentum to get ideas out into the world. Three connected sessions:

-Curiosity: staying open when we don't have the answer yet
-Courage: acting before we feel ready and letting our unfinished ideas be seen
-Growth: bringing things together and taking the first step

Each session will close with a reflection and an "Adventure of the Week"; one small action to take and continue experimenting with between sessions.

The aim of these sessions is also to develop our capacity to lead, and build momentum around ideas.

Interested? Join Rhea for the first session, Curiosity, on Heyouthere.

Not everyone is built to survive the entrepreneur life alone, and that’s not a
flaw. Rhea thinks resilience and relationships matter as much as the idea
itself.

That’s what Heyouthere community is there for, bringing you the people
who back you up when the idea alone isn’t enough.

Who’s in your corner right now?
