Here are my top 3 coding background music sources (all YouTube):

1.) StudyMD - whether it’s quiet jazz, cafe music, rainy weather or a crackling fire this medical student knows how to create a productive environment.

2.) Lofi Girl - def a classic, can run for hours in the background without ever disturbing your concentration.

3.) Chopin classical piano mix by HALIDONMUSIC - almost 3 hours of Chopin. With the classical genre one can almost feel pulled back to that time period, the authors music flowing through centuries to inspire you.

A little Linux for today...

I installed a program on Linux and it caused a little havoc. A program called BB started a sound process that never wanted to stop despite the fact I exited and uninstalled it.

Restarting my computer would prob work, but I knew there has to be a quick way to end the process thru the terminal. (windows task manager anyone?)

Some googling yeilded:
pidof [program name]
kill -l
killall -9
lspci -v | grep -i audio
ps aux | grep -i Audio

But I still didn't know the PID number or name of program (BB didn't work). Finally I clued in and ran 'top' (or 'htop' if you have it installed).

I saw a program running called "Pulse audio", maybe that's it? I saw that:

PID of pulse audio == 1740

I ran:
kill -9 [1740]

Sound problem gone instantly!

Even tho this was just a little beginner problem to solve, it made me feel like a H4CK3R! I got a rush getting my stubborn computer doing what I wanted it to do simply by giving it text commands in a terminal.

Hey Everyone. So I am 95% done a rather large project that I would like to share with y'all...It's a Huge 'Learning Guide' for becoming a Web-Developer in 2022. Basically everything you need to know to get full-stack applications up live for the world to use! 🎉

My plan is to release this website to people who sign up for my news letter. (no spam) So please consider doing so if you are interested in networking with like minded entrepreneurs & generating meaningful traffic to your own apps.

I would also love any feedback you can give on the quality /layout /functionality of
this Guide. I haven't been in this game long(I only started learning 3 years ago) and don't want to project myself as being a Pro. But I am driven, resourceful and believe in building apps that matter.

My Dream would be to work on awesome web projects that make a difference (and make $$$) from my home.

On a more serious note, I just wanted to point out that everyone has a different setup in life and we don’t all have the same amount of free time, health, financial situation… so don’t compare yourself with others… if your worse (at coding) than them it only hurts you (and realize that they have put in may more time, and worked on their problem solving and logical thinking ability). If your better than them it only blows up your ego, preventing you from learning and connecting with others.

Stay humble. Work like a duck. Calm above the surface, but kicking like crazy underneath.

Hope everyone’s doing great and doing work that is meaningful. Talk to y’all later.

Hey Everyone, I had my computer crash with the new Windows 11 updates, I think there was a conflict with the dev version I was running and all the weird configurations I had to do to get WSL running.

So that was a wake up call to actually practice having good backups from now on! Has anyone else experienced data loss? Do you have a good back-up strategy?
