What an incredible 4th of July Matinee! We loved showcasing our amazing DJs and giving young, up-and-coming talent a platform to shine.
Huge thanks to our sound sponsor, Roger Alexander of Zodiac Sound, for nurturing talent and showing up to support – that's truly golden!
And a big shoutout to Livefm Radio, our media sponsor, for broadcasting live and giving our DJs even more exposure.

To Tara, Nuri, and Elsa, thank you for bringing the vibes and extra exposure for our DJs.

Finally, to everyone who showed up and to our talented young DJs, thank you for giving it your all – we know you'll only grow from here! 🎶🌟 #Matinee #DJs #Talent #Music #Community by @codeblackdj

We're starting something big! 🚀 A sold-out event showcasing our very own Cape Town talent, providing a safe space for young and old DJs to show off their skills, practice in front of a selected audience, and learn. If you're not on the list, you're not invited. Watch this space, you won't want to miss it again! We're grateful and honored to give back, especially this month. 🙏 #Talent #CapeTown #DJs #Event #Community by @codeblackdj

Beat Bangaz Academy Show on FCR 🎧
The Beat Bangaz Academy Show, hosted by CodeBlack, is a dynamic platform dedicated to discovering, developing, and showcasing the next generation of DJ talent from the Beat Bangaz DJ Academy.
Each episode features exciting DJ Battles, where academy DJs go head-to-head, demonstrating their mixing skills, creativity, track selection, and ability to engage listeners. These battles are designed to challenge DJs and provide them with valuable exposure on a growing radio platform.
The ultimate prize is more than just bragging rights — the winning DJ earns an opportunity to secure a resident DJ slot on one of FCR's shows, helping them take the next step in their broadcasting and DJ career.
The show serves as a talent incubator, giving emerging DJs a stage to be heard, build their profiles, gain experience, and connect with a wider audience.
Beat Bangaz Academy Show – Where talent is unearthed, battles are won, and future radio stars are made.
