My first year as a compound archer and USAT competitor has been a huge learning experience. After shooting barebow for several years, transitioning to compound came with a steep learning curve, but it has also pushed me to grow and challenge myself.

Now that the outdoor season is over, I can say I’ve learned a lot about both myself and my bow. There’s a long list of things to do and things not to do! I’m leaving the 2026 outdoor season with a much deeper appreciation for the technical knowledge compound archery requires and for just how unforgiving a compound can be. That said, I’m motivated and on track to work hard for indoor season as I prepare for state competitions.

I’m currently ranked 21st nationally, and I’m excited to keep learning, improving, and seeing where this next season takes me.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me on my journey on social media and in person! 🙏 by @coded_archer_fx

Day 1 and 2 of qualifications. Day 1, my nerves got the better of me, but I finished strong. Day 2 managed to get into a good rhythm and earned my 8th pin. Overall, really proud of myself. After competing with my compound for 7 months, I’ve come away from Nationals with a better understanding of what I still need to work on and the opportunities that await.

Also, did a good amount of sightseeing while in Nebraska. The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace, #museumofamericanspeed are definitely worth the visit.

Midwest road trip: Ohio to Nebraska 🚗💨—fuel and lunch at Buc-ee’s and then the legendary Iowa 80 (for a dinner break), endless corn fields in every direction 🌽, and a few time-lapse videos to beat the boredom and capture part of the drive bc I fell asleep.

I’d definitely road trip again but break it into 2 days for sightseeing and exploring local food.

Rebel Buckeye Classic, Dublin, Ohio photo dump. And visited “Corn Henge” 🌽

Shot my pb but struggled with the weather conditions. I was good with the rain, but the humidity, smoke from the fires, and thunder were something else. That was some great training in unexpected conditions! 💨 ⛈️

After, drove 12hrs to Nebraska for the next tournament. 🚘
