Calla Wisps are notoriously difficult to find. Callista, however, is rather difficult to lose. 🤭

Marga, for short. Because even she knows that's a mouthful. 🤭

Most days, you'll find her looking into her crystal ball. Oh, how I want to take a peek, too. 🔮

Lately, Marga keeps seeing the same thing...

Crocheters. 👀

Apparently, there are testers in her future. Unfortunately, the crystal ball has been rather vague about who. 🤭

So Marga and I are looking for a few of you to help test her pattern before she makes her appearance in the @thegreatestshow_cal on September 21–23. 🎪✨

🌟 Olive 🌙🪐

Somewhere in the galaxy, hidden behind a black hole, there is a planet Olive calls home.

She dreams of becoming an astronomer, and one teeny tiny blue planet, far, far away, fascinates her most. 🌍

She has heard stories of endless oceans, plants that turn their heads towards the stars, and tiny creatures that carry lights in their bellies.

She has even heard that water simply falls from the sky. 💧

Olive isn't entirely sure she believes that one, but curiosity has a funny way of carrying little aliens very, very far from home. ✨

Olive has so much character! It was a joy experimenting with colours, yarns and resin to bring them all the details to life. 🥰🤩 I especially love all those eyes and that stubby little nose.

🧪🦋🤓 MOTH PROTOCOL #002: Photography Secrets

Do I use professional photography equipment?

Absolutely not. 🤣

My highly sophisticated photography setup? My phone.
And for making my creatures stand on their own? Knitting needles.

Stick them in. Position them. Find an angle where you can’t see them. And Bob’s your uncle!

And apparently, knitting needles also make excellent emergency tripods when wedged into a tree. 😂

Professional? No.
Does it work? Absolutely.

Adventure Log – 1

"I packed my satchel, wrapped my scarf nice and snug, and set off into the forest.
They say the best treasures are hidden where the moss is softest. Today I found a patch of magical mushrooms... and I think I spotted someone watching me from the thicket. I'll have to come back tomorrow."

Oh my word, did I have fun creating Rowan's little world. He has so much character with all his accessories. I mean... LOOK! 😃 I love him so much.

Horse Radish 🐴🌱

Look at this super fun test for @yarnaholicsewciopath ! 💕 I absolutely love her punny creations. When I saw she was making a Horse Radish, I knew I had to make it. 🥰

Her leafy mane might be my favorite part. Of course I had to take her outside for a proper Horse Radish photoshoot.

🧪🦋🤓 MOTH PROTOCOL #001: Embroidered Eyes

Welcome to Moth Protocol — the Codename Butterfly Experimentation Log.

For my first experiment, I wanted to find out:

✨ Can machine embroidered eyes work on chenille yarn?

There was trial and error, a few lessons learned, and more eye designs than I know what to do with.
