Cabin Fever ‘03

Such a fun and gory film from the start. I know he hasn’t been so hot lately, but in my opinion, this might be his best (along with Hostel) lots of wtf moments and lots of blood. And the party cop might be one of my favorite characters of all time. Another great spooky season watch! Not sure if I’ve seen this unrated version but I can’t wait to find out! by @codi_4k

Scream

First classic horror watch of the season. Definitely changed the horror game back in 96 and still holds up today. Very enjoyable with scares and laughs and a pretty great twist ending giving us two killers instead of 1. Definitely a favorite of mine! by @codi_4k

Malignant

The people beg for original horror and definitely got it with insane movie! I literally had no idea what to expect with this one when I first saw it and I enjoyed every second! Probably one of the most insane twists in recent memory and even though it was directed by James Wan, it gives very Sam Raimi/Lee Chronin vibes which Is a style I enjoy more and more these days. Very campy and brutal, this is definitely a fun watch for scary season! by @codi_4k

Drag Me to Hell

My goodness what a wonderful film!
It’s literally got everything. It’s scary and creepy and funny and ridiculous and if there’s one thing Sam Raimi knows, it’s how to be gross and disgusting! I have such a fun time every time I watch this movie. My favorite creep out would have to be the parking structure scene. If you know, you know and if you don’t, check this movie out! by @codi_4k

First spooky watch of the month is a more recent favorite. Weapons was a fantastic movie especially seeing it in theaters and I enjoy it just as much at home. Beautifully shot with some good scares. I will always be down for a casual Weapons viewing by @codi_4k

The Carpenter’s Son

Nicholas Cage in a horror movie about young Jesus?! I’m in! I’ve been excited for this one since I heard about the Christians going bananas when it was first talked about

Already wild 6 minutes in, I think I’m in for a good time with this one. The easiest way to explain this movie is by asking “what if Jesus gave into temptation, and the Devil tempted him into performing Al those miracles?” It follows Joseph and Mary raising Jesus during the teenage years and it shows the horror side of Jesus dealing with knowing that one day he will die for the world while also not knowing who he truly is yet, and it shows how terrifying that can be for a teenager. It also shows the miracles in a way that the people witnessing the miracles did not see them as such. Think Brightburn but Jesus instead of Superman.

I really enjoyed this one! Cool concept, some really creepy scares and some gorgeous shots. Definitely gonna grab myself a physical copy when I get the chance 7/10 by @codi_4k

Sinners

Been a while since I watched this one but have enjoyed it every time. This one kinda hits from a musician perspective cuz I wouldn’t put that guitar down either even after everything that happened!

Michael B. Jordan does a great job playing twins with two very different personalities to the point I sometimes forget he’s one person

And overall it’s just a beautiful looking movie i give this one a 9/10 by @codi_4k

Mortal Kombat 4k Kollection

Recently purchased from @arrowvideo , I have finally acquired two movies from my childhood restored in beautiful 4k! I’m barely 10 minutes into the first Mortal Kombat and the picture is beautiful! It’s already filled me with nostalgia and memories from my childhood and some that don’t even have anything to do with this movie! It’s such a fun film and the sets are stunning this is a perfect addition for anyone collecting physical media! by @codi_4k

Disclosure Day

Although it wasn’t what I was expecting, I still really enjoyed this film. Once it hits around the 1hr 40min mark things get really interesting and visually reminds me of A.I. from Spielberg. It also has the feels of E.T. And Close encounters. Emily Blunt was outstanding in this role and outshined the rest of the cast in my opinion.
It feels like he has taken a bit from each of his sci-fi films and put it all together to bring his newest vision together in some kind of call back to all of his sci-fi films. Visually fun and heartwarming, I would recommend this for anyone who is a fan of Steven Spielberg and the sci-fi genre in general 8/10 by @codi_4k
