Heading back home after our very FIRST kid-free trip… just us two 🥹🤍

If you really know us, you know we hardly ever leave our kids and sometimes we just get so caught up in being mom and dad that this trip felt so deserved and so needed.

I’m especially grateful for my NOW FIANCÉ 🤪 for helping me cross things off my bucket list & reminding me that life isn’t only about responsibilities, planning, and preparing for the future. To be completely honest—I can get so caught up in always feeling like we need to save every dollar and stay prepared for what’s ahead. But Kala’is famous line to me is: “money comes back” 😂 And even when on this trip I encountered situations that made me feel like I didn’t belong on this trip, he constantly reminded me of something important: we’re still young, and we still need to live, experience, and make memories together. Money comes back around but times and moments like these don’t.

Last but never least, thank you to our incredible village for making this possible and taking care of our girls. Can’t wait to be back home and snuggle our babies🌺✈️🫶🏻 taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @codikamaka

for the past two years, Mother’s Day has carried such a different, surreal meaning for me. it’s truly a love you can’t explain or replicate. some days feel like I’m just surviving, but time waits for no one, so I’m learning to count the days and make the most of every little moment.
