Cancer sucks, little sisters don’t.

(Except for that time she threw a rock at my head when she was 2 and gave me stitches…or that time I ended up grounded because I scared her so badly that she screamed and threw up…because of a toy jumping spider. SMH, but I digress.)

What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, and Bethie is about to show you how stubborn and strong us Codispoti/Hess girls are.

As the over achiever she’s always been, at the ripe age of 34 she has been diagnosed with stage 2A Breast Cancer. In typical little sister fashion, she will be turning this experience into a nice full boob job and tummy tuck. Some kids have all the luck, am I right?!

So get in the van, my people. It’s time to hop on the bandwagon and join team #laura/laurabeth/bethie/beaterbugKICKSTITS

On August 3rd, she will be undergoing a double mastectomy which will be the official kickoff to a road that will include several surgeries, the loss of a few lymph nodes (who needs those dumb things anyways?!), stupid chemo and dumb radiation. Be on the lookout for ways you can support Bethie, Brian, Jonah and Clara every step of the way. For now, I’m sharing this Amazon wishlist she’s created for things that will make recovery suck less and help her dominate the first rounds of chemo.

If you could send all the prayers, love and good vibes her way, this big sister would sure appreciate it.
