WE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED AS AN NGO ON THURSDAY, 24TH OF APRIL 2025, AT THE SHELL HALL, MUSON CENTRE, ONIKAN, AND IT WAS INDEED A GREAT SUCCESS!

CODISA Foundation has been making impacts in the lives of people with disabilities for over 4 decades now, and the event was set to scale our impact like never before. The event which included dignitaries, stakeholders, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, advocates, institutions, and members of the disability community was really remarkable.

Our goal is to raise 100 million naira, some donations have been made prior to the event and when the fundraising started, many rose to the occasion and donated a sum, contributed their services and volunteered their time and resources.

We say thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke, donated, contributed, volunteered or was part of the event one way or the other.

CODISA FOUNDATION IS NOW OFFICIALLY AN NGO!!! And we are more committed to ensuring disability inclusion and empowerment which our vision and mission stand on. Our core values remain the same, and we are dedicated to serving more people with disabilities and supporting institutions that serve them to ensure they achieve their full potential.

Congratulations to us! 🎉💃

Happy Independence Day. 🇳🇬

Today we're thinking about what freedom actually means, and who still doesn't fully have it. For a lot of people with disabilities in Nigeria, independence isn't something they got in 1960. They're still fighting for it, one ramp, one classroom, one "yes" at a time.

We see that fight, and we're in it with them.

Here's to a new month that brings us closer to an inclusive nation. 💙

Bet you didn't know sign language had this much range.

Did you know? There is no single "universal" sign language. We have over 300 known sign languages worldwide.

The gap? Only a small percentage of deaf children globally get access to sign language education. That's the part worth sitting with.

Access to sign language is a human right, and it's definitely not too late to learn it. Learn it for yourself, family/friend, and your community.

♻️ Save this and repost to advocate for sign language education to be included in schools.

Hands can say everything words can.

This year's International Day of Sign Languages, themed "Declaring Deaf People's Human Rights," reminds us that access to sign language isn't a favour extended to deaf people. It's a right owed to them, in classrooms, workplaces, hospitals, and everyday life.

At CODISA Foundation, we stand with every deaf person whose right to communicate, be understood, and belong is still being fought for.

Happy International Day of Sign Languages. 💙

PS: A little task for you in the comments.
