🏆 The champion of the 2025 Ultra Gobi 400km: @cody_poskin

Breaking the tape at Kodiak was special.

Breaking tape at a race has been this elusive goal that has evaded me since I started running. I’ve won several races, but none of them had a tape. I’ve gotten close in other races that did have a tape, but close doesn’t count. Turns out there’s a big difference between almost winning and actual winning.

Things that went well:
1) My feet. The elite combo of @couriersocks LoFi socks and the @mounttocoast M1 on my feet kept me 100% blister free and with all my toenails intact.
2) Chafing. None. Zero. Zilch. With @runjanji on the bottom and @tantrums.outdoor up top, there was no rubbing or unsavory friction to be found.
3) Fueling. For the first half at least, I stuck to the plan slurping down @openfuel even with my stomach not fully cooperating.
4) My crew. Dialed. Less than 20 minutes stoppage time over almost 17 hours.

Things to work on:
1) Puking. Would rather not do that next time. Thinking maybe I’m a 60g/hr guy not a 120g/hr guy
2) Running on techy stuff. Most of Kodiak wasn’t hard to run. But on the rocky and loose stuff, my weakness shone through.
3) Climbing. Felt like I was rocketing up the climbs. They were 17 minute miles. It’s just has to be better.

All in all, it was a fantastic day(s) and I couldn’t have asked for a better close to the 2026 trail season. Just one hard effort left this year. See you at CIM🚀

And if you’re gonna down a pop-tart before ripping a hundred miler, brown sugar cinnamon is the only choice.

OPENERS is an idea that came from many a trail run and ride brainstorms. We want to give y’all an open look into the business while elevating our athletes and communities. Even as we add spice to the production value, the candor and transparency won’t change. Tune in via podcast or youtube. by @cody_poskin

🏆 @kodiak_ultramarathons was a success.

I snagged the win 🥇 in the 3rd fastest time on the course ever. While it was more or less wire to wire, that doesn’t show the battles fought internally and externally to seal the deal.

Between puking over 25 times, falling down 5 times and coming within 2 minute of being overtaken in the middle, it was far from a perfect race. But this is the first time I’ve ever truly RACED an ultra. Usually I just run and end up where I end up. This time I fought the whole way. As much as I love running for the sake of running, I have found that I love winning almost as much.

Huge thanks to my pacers and crew @brookeposkin @ellaneym @coloradoveganadventure and Jessie who is an apparently an Instagram monk .

Also huge thanks to @mounttocoast for the shoes that carried me the entire 100 miles, @tantrums.outdoor for making a rocking vest and @openfuel for keeping me fueled.

Only a road marathon left for 2026. Time to see if there’s any speed left in these slow twitch legs. Then a rampage in 2027 that hopefully includes me at the top of the podium more often. The stock is up. Time to buy 📈

A 100-mile win at the Kodiak Ultra Marathons by UTMB. @cody_poskin’s biggest victory to date.

Despite a 36-minute margin, Cody spent the final stretch "running scared for six hours" as second place chased him through the California mountains. The win caps off a massive year: a podium at Cocodona 250 in May, a win at the Wyoming Range 100 in August, and now this – guaranteeing him a spot in Chamonix for the UTMB finals in 2027.

We’re also welcoming @bec_bram to the Mount to Coast team. Becca made quite the introduction with a second-place finish in the Kodiak 100K, earning her own ticket to CCC in 2027. Following a win and course record at High Lonesome earlier this year and a runner-up finish at Run Rabbit Run in 2025, she’s been quietly putting together an incredible resumé, and we're excited to be part of what's next.

Two huge performances, two tickets to Chamonix. A lot to look forward to in 2027.

FIRST OVERALL. KODIAK 100M.

For 100 miles, nobody got in front of @cody_poskin. He finished in 16:46:21 and earned a spot in Chamonix next summer.

Everyone else spent the night racing each other around Big Bear. Out front, in the Crest 6, Cody had nothing to chase except his own light.

Cody Poskin is officially Team Tantrums.

I’m fit, fast, and fired up. I’ve played this race over a million times in my head - time to execute.

The goal is under 16 hours. The goal is to win. See ya out there ✌️🏆 by @cody_poskin

The path doesn’t always start where you’d expect. For Cody, that path started in Missouri on a 130ft hill, over and over and over again.

What makes us hyped is that it’s just the beginning.
