In 2025, @manuvilaseca broke the women's record for the Triple Crown of American 200s by over 29 hours, wearing early prototypes of the Mount to Coast M1. "Stability is what makes you go faster when things get complicated," she says, "and the M1 had that right away".

The M1 that will launch on August 10 has been forged by competition over 18 months of development – every mile has shaped the shoe you’ll be able to buy.

3076 miles. San Francisco to New York City. An iconic record.

@camerondeanbalser is currently on the road to challenging a famous FKT, chasing the supported transcontinental record of 42 days, 6 hours and 30 minutes. Starting on October 10, he’s passed through every type of fall weather as he heads east: in the last few days he was forced to stop early as the rain made the dirt road he was running on impassable by his support vehicle. The following morning the team woke up to snow. That day Cam went on to cross Cameron’s Pass, the highest point of the journey. In his first 17 days, he’s crossed the mountainous states of California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado: the straight, flat roads in Nebraska are tantalizingly close.

From coast to coast, Mount to Coast is supporting Cam every step of the way by @projecttranscend.mtc – you can follow his adventure @breaking42fkt

Ria Xi @whereisriax is running 20,000 km across Eurasia, from Vladivostok, Russia, to Lisbon, Portugal. Today marks day 174 of her expedition, with 7,707 km covered. Along the way, she set the supported women’s FKT for crossing China in 113 days, 8 hours and 58 minutes.

A few years ago, a quarter-life crisis left Ria feeling lost. Running became an outlet, and discovering what her body was capable of drew her into ultrarunning. “Ultrarunning gives you a sense of control over your own life.”

The 20,000 km Experiment is a chance to rewrite her story. After a year of preparation, she finally set off in May 2026. Having once struggled to turn ideas into action, simply getting this project off the ground was a victory in itself. “Whatever comes next, I know I’ll keep running, because running has changed my mindset so much.”

The project is also driven by Ria’s hope that running, a sport almost anyone can take part in, can connect people across borders in a world where so many voices go unheard. Along her route through 17 countries, local running groups have joined her for parts of the way. Hearing from people who have been inspired by her efforts reminds Ria why the project matters.

Through @projecttranscend.mtc, Mount to Coast is supporting Ria and her team with running shoes for the expedition. We look forward to seeing her through to the end.

A 100-mile win at the Kodiak Ultra Marathons by UTMB. @cody_poskin’s biggest victory to date.

Despite a 36-minute margin, Cody spent the final stretch "running scared for six hours" as second place chased him through the California mountains. The win caps off a massive year: a podium at Cocodona 250 in May, a win at the Wyoming Range 100 in August, and now this – guaranteeing him a spot in Chamonix for the UTMB finals in 2027.

We’re also welcoming @bec_bram to the Mount to Coast team. Becca made quite the introduction with a second-place finish in the Kodiak 100K, earning her own ticket to CCC in 2027. Following a win and course record at High Lonesome earlier this year and a runner-up finish at Run Rabbit Run in 2025, she’s been quietly putting together an incredible resumé, and we're excited to be part of what's next.

Two huge performances, two tickets to Chamonix. A lot to look forward to in 2027.

206 miles completed. 34 miles to go. @aaronkubala had been making such incredible progress that he largely stayed ahead of the weather that ultimately led to the cancellation of the Moab 240. But any event is bigger than one performance. When the organizers put out the call that conditions were too dangerous for the race to continue, it meant game over for everyone. Aaron called his team the greatest 200 crew in the world – will they be back next year to finish what they started? The Triple Crown is waiting.

Strong winds. Heavy rain. Wet desert trails. A brief moment to refuel and reflect for @aaronkubala.

The Moab 240 is the final event of the Triple Crown. After a successful summer, Aaron is chasing the record set by his friend and Mount to Coast athlete Killian Korth in 2025. Runners began at 6 AM on Friday, October 9, and Aaron should finish on Sunday evening – the time to beat is 61 hours. Whatever the weather or the desert throws at him in these final hours, Aaron says, “I’ll be running with a whole lotta love – I can’t wait to see what I’m capable of.”

Rain-soaked trails. Tropical and subtropical forests. New routes, new friends and new experiences.

The M1 has been on a tour of Thailand and Hong Kong, mastering the unique terrain of East and Southeast Asia. Featuring a JETCELL midsole and an advanced Vibram outsole, the M1 is ready for anything – from slick roots to fast gravel trails and deep mud, the M1 can do it all.

336 km. 24,000 m+ of elevation gain. Third place for @manuvilaseca after 82 hours and 31 minutes of running.

The Tor des Géants takes place as the seasons shift across the Alps. Starting in Courmayeur on September 13, the race loops around the Valle d'Aosta, climbing as high as 3,300 m and incorporating 25 passes over 2,000 m.

This year, @manuvilaseca has shifted her focus to Europe’s most extreme races. “I think I am quite ambitious in my projects,” she told us earlier this year. “When I went over the one hundred mile distance for the first time, I fell in love with this sport again.”

Keeping her breaks to a minimum despite back pain in the latter stages, she finished just 23 minutes ahead of fourth place – a razor-thin margin after over three days of continuous racing.

“I was able to embrace the pain,” she says. “I just accepted it. It still feels surreal – finishing third at the Tor. This is a race I knew about before I knew almost anything else in the sport.”

Manu ran the entire 336.1 km route in the Mount to Coast M1.

144 hrs. 1024.319 km. First place overall. A new all-comers US national record. Multiple world records.

Take a bow @_megeckert, who over a history-making six days has permanently changed the shape of ultrarunning, exceeding her own lofty ambitions, and taking one giant step towards Transcending Distance.

Meg travelled to Hungary for the EMU-GOMU 6-Day World Championship with the ambition of breaking the all-comers American record, which stood at 606.243 mi (975.653 km). Given that she ran 603.155 mi (970.685 km) in France last May, that mark looked within reach. To be the first woman to go beyond 1000 km and add 54 km to her own existing world record? We knew she could do it. And now, she’s done it.

“It’s the longest and shortest thing,” she said after the race. “It’s unbelievable. How do you describe a 6-Day? There’s so much that goes on, so many ups and downs. But we had a good time! It’s going to take a long time to process…”

In a year where women have begun to win the world’s biggest ultrarunning events outright, we couldn’t be more proud to have Meg on the Mount to Coast team. She raced in Hungary in the same Mount to Coast R1 you can buy today.

300km. 25,000m of elevation gain. Second team to finish.

PTL is probably the least well-known event at UTMB, but it's also the most brutal: how many other trail races require athletes to carry a helmet and a climbing harness? What makes it more special is that it's run in teams of two. This year Nicolas Lehmann and Sébastien Raichon crossed the line in second place, with @nic_lehmann running the route in the Mount to Coast M1. Uniquely, it's an event where position matters less than simply finishing – anyone who completes La Petite Trotte à Léon has proven their ability to deal with everything the mountains can throw at them.

What makes it so tough? "There's a lot of sections without a clear track, and also a lot of very exposed ridges" says Nicolas, "it's very difficult, and every year the track changes – this year, it was really the hardest that I did."

Sébastien and Nicolas slept around four hours across the first three nights, but allowed themselves a solid two hours on the final night when it became clear that first place was too far ahead. Four days is a long time to spend with one other person – are they still friends after such an intense experience? "Of course," says Nicolas. "We have the same spirit, so it's easy to run with Sébastian."
