Thank you God!!

Just so grateful and blessed to harvest this bird this morning. A week before opener I got my truck stuck while scouting. I was frustrated, no help around. But even in that, God was there. It didn’t stop me, it pushed me to keep going.

First week of season was a grind. Close calls with no results. A lot of frustration. But I kept praying, and there was a stillness that kept me going. Last night I decided I wasn’t going out this morning. But I woke up at the exact time I always do to hunt with no alarm. I took that as a sign to go. Got set up in God’s beautiful creations. I watched the bird in the roost, and within minutes of fly down it all came together.

Later at church, I heard something that stuck with me:
“You can be exactly where God led you and still feel disappointed”. That hit. Because that’s exactly what this season felt like at times. But it reminded me that God is working in all of it, not just the success, but the struggle too. by @codycotton_
