🚜 FARMER FRIDAY: Neverdun Farms

From raising cattle to processing locally grown beef, Neverdun Farms is a great example of the hard work, innovation, and family traditions that make South Carolina agriculture special!

Located in Cane Savannah, this family-owned operation has grown from just a few cows into a cattle farm with its own meat processing facility. Their commitment to rotational grazing, responsible herd management, and producing quality beef is impressive, but what really stands out is their dedication to helping other South Carolina cattle producers.

By developing their own state-certified processing facility, the Neverdun Farms family has created opportunities for local producers to market their beef directly to consumers, strengthening our local food supply and supporting fellow farmers along the way.

I was grateful to spend an evening with this hardworking farm family as they graciously hosted a fundraiser for our campaign. We were also joined by Speaker of the House Murrell Smith, who spoke about the importance of strong leadership at the State House and working together to advance our Farmers First agenda.

A BIG thank you to the entire Neverdun Farms family for their hospitality and to everyone who joined us! It’s always a pleasure to visit operations like this one and see firsthand the dedication, ingenuity, and passion behind South Carolina agriculture.

These are my people. This is my passion. And this is why I’m running. 🇺🇸🌾

Happy National Farmers Day! 🚜

Some of these faces I’ve known my entire life. Some I’ve worked alongside for years. Others I’ve had the privilege of meeting while traveling the backroads of South Carolina on this campaign trail. But every single one of them reminds me why agriculture is worth fighting for.

Behind every farm gate is a story. Generations of hard work. Early mornings and late nights. Families who have poured their hearts into the land, not because it’s easy, but because it’s who they are.

I’ve spent my life in agriculture, and one of the greatest honors of this campaign has been getting to hear from the very people who keep it going. We’ve shared stories, talked about challenges, celebrated successes, and probably solved a few of the world’s problems leaning against a tailgate.

I could fill a hundred posts with pictures of the farmers and farm families who have made an impact on my life and this campaign, and still not include them all. These are just a few of the many faces behind the industry I love so much.

These folks aren’t just farmers. They’re my friends, my neighbors, and the heartbeat of South Carolina.

On National Farmers Day, I don’t just want to thank our farmers. I want them to know that I see them, I understand them, and I’ll never forget who I’m working for.

God bless our farmers, our farm families, and the agricultural legacy we’re working to leave for the next generation.

Strong roots make for a stronger future in South Carolina agriculture! 🌱🚜

Last week, I enjoyed attending the South Carolina Black Farmers Coalition’s 2026 Annual Conference in Columbia. This year’s theme was “Where Our Story Takes Root.”

It was a great opportunity to visit with farmers and agricultural leaders from across our state, hear their stories, and even sample a few delicious treats along the way, including some ice cream! 🍦

A big thank you to the South Carolina Black Farmers Coalition for the kind invitation and for giving me the opportunity to speak and be a part of this year’s conference. I appreciate the warm welcome and the chance to connect with so many folks who share a passion for keeping South Carolina agriculture strong for generations to come!

Farmer Friday | Deep Roots on The Ridge 🍑

There’s something mighty special about the farming families who call “The Ridge” in Ridge Spring home.

Last night, under a peachy sunset and pecan trees, we gathered with some wonderful folks who have spent generations working the land and carrying on their families’ farming traditions.

From peach and pecan growers to cattle producers and more, these families are part of the heart and soul of South Carolina agriculture.

A special thank you to the Carr family, the Dorns, the Oswalts, the Pendarvis family, the Williams families, the Watkins family, and the Yons for hosting such a wonderful evening. And to everyone who joined us, thank you for your friendship, encouragement, and support. It means more than you know!

Good land, good people, and roots that run generations deep. That’s what The Ridge is all about, and I’m sure grateful for the folks who call it home! 🍑🇺🇸

Once a 4-H’er, always a 4-H’er. 🍀

4-H was an important part of my own story growing up, and I was proud to serve as a 4-H Chapter President. The lessons I learned through 4-H, leadership, responsibility, service and a love for agriculture, have stayed with me throughout my life and career.

That’s why I’ve always been proud to advocate for youth programs like 4-H here in South Carolina. There’s nothing better than seeing young people get involved, learn where their food and fiber come from, develop new skills and grow into leaders in their communities.

And these days, it’s especially meaningful to see friends I grew up with now watching their own children find their place in 4-H. That’s what it’s all about, passing down a love for agriculture, service and our rural way of life to the next generation.

Happy National 4-H Week to all of South Carolina’s 4-H’ers, families, volunteers and leaders. Keep learning, keep leading and keep making us proud! 🍀 by @codyforsc
