We've been building an app to make your current presentation app look like it came from Temu.

The first real competitor built in 25 years.

Resolume effects/coloring + ProPresenter features with modern AI integration and Cloud Collaboration.

Free. Available today for vibe coders to test and build on. Public release coming soon.

Tune your room with a calibrated mic. Calibrate your mic with an accurate calibrator. Don't calibrate your mic with the room.

If you're using or switching to Software SPL metering then you need an accurately calibrated mic. That doesn't happen by running white noise and comparing it to the level on your handheld meter and then calibrating your software to that.

Your room's response and the eq of your white noise playing in that room does not actually represent the frequency curve of your mic. The only way to calibrate a mic to be useful for room tuneing and for SPL or RTA monitoring is through a real calibrator with accurate reference noise.

SMAART, Open Sound Meter, and MxU all use the same math/science for tuneing. Accuracy doesn't come from the software if it's one of those 3. Accuracy comes from how you calibrate your mic.

Quick tip: SPL metering is included in @mxu.app Dashboards, no need for expensive software anymore if you have MxU for your team. 😉

Some worship songs require education from the stage.

Singing too many of them in one set feels like a transition and communication overload.

As worship leaders we need to put intention into what songs we are adding to our sets. That way we make sure we provide context to a song to help the church sing along with it.

Plus no one wants to sit through multiple songs in one set that require context or it becomes mini sermon interruptions all through worship.

Remote live stream mixing is easier when you can:

1. See who's singing which song, what key it's in and what input they are on.
2. Know where you are in the order of service.... in real-time. 3. See the room and the stage or a multiview... not from a delayed YouTube stream.

Real-time visibility is probably the biggest missing piece most people have when remote mixing, and for a long time that was difficult to fix. But with @mxu.app ... it's pretty easy. 🙈

This is changing the game for us, since we recently started having someone remote mix our stream's audio on Sundays!

Service Dashboards have changed how we track service and see where we are at. Who's doing what, how much time is left, what's coming next, are we meeting our volume standards...

So I figured why not show how to do that in less than a minute.

@mxu.app has basically made live production management simple for churches and team leads finally 🎉

It's easy for people to fall through the cracks when there's a new outside leader over the team. But Messaging in @mxu.app has helped our team stay connected and helped me reach the right people appropriately while getting to know them.

Service Plan based group chats, DM's, PCO Role based chats, Announce only channels, YTH safe channels for their endless memes... way easier when all your worship and production data lives in one place.

No more Planning Center Services app chats for plans, WhatsApp for group chats, and iMessage for individual texts. Everything all in one place. Right where they receive training. Right where they can accept or decline service roles. Right where they can see checklists and dashboards.

One app for better follow through. by @codynpatterson

We made producing at our church actually enjoyable.

No mare chasing people down, we just message them in-app. No more random apps pulled up or hidden off screen. No more going to YouTube and Facebook manually to see if we are live and to track attendance. No more printed orders of service or speaking notes.

Producing is actually fun and approachable for anyone now.

Making things less intimidating is an efficient way to get more volunteers involved. Their anxiety goes down and the service execution goes up. 💪

Every Sunday, production teams bounce between sermon notes, presentation software, and service plans.

That’s where mistakes happen.

We don’t think church tech should require constant context switching.

So we built a better way.

Now you can place presentation slides directly inside your sermon notes. Every cue, every note, and every visual lives together in one place. And if you need to take over from the lobby, backstage, or anywhere else, you can trigger those slides remotely from MxU.

The best software isn’t the one with the most features.

It’s the one that gets out of your way so you can focus on ministry.

End of an era. 🎉

The Patterson's are moving to Ohio!

After 7 years in North Texas we've taken the call to move towards our family roots.

Serving as the Production Pastor at Life Fellowship the last several years has been one of the biggest highlights of my life. Because of the people at LF, our family grew together more, we made incredible friendships, our older 3 kids met Jesus, and Rebekah and I built a stronger marriage than ever.

I had the honor of leading an amazing group of people that have made a massive imprint on my life. I'm so excited for what God is going to keep doing in their lives as they keep growing together. If Rebekah and I had the opportunity to serve alongside you, be in a Life Group with you, build a relationship with you, just know that we love you and will miss you so much! Very thankful for our incredible pastors Chris & Tatum Lindberg who trusted us to care for the church they are leading so well.

Here in Ohio, we'll continue to grow with our family and guide our kids to keep following Jesus. I'll be giving direction to Sunday gatherings by pastoring the worship and production teams at Renew Communities in Berea.

We are expectant for what's to come and can't wait to see what God has in store! by @codynpatterson
