Her (without hesitation): “Mocha. Sweet. Creamy. Chocolatey.”

And just like that, my solo brew turned into a love language. 🍫🤎

Steamed milk, a little cocoa, a little syrup… and a lot of husband energy.
Because sometimes romance isn’t flowers,
it’s getting the mocha ratio just right.

She got her sweet craving.
I got the smile.

Today, I woke up thinking about my visit to Surat.

What I thought would be just another coffee event turned into one of those days I’ll remember for a long time.

Walking into First Pour at @aeris_cafe and seeing 100+ people show up for coffee was honestly overwhelming. It was hectic, loud, and nonstop but in the best possible way.

One of my favorite parts wasn’t just brewing coffee. It was finally putting faces to so many usernames I’ve seen over the years. Meeting people who’ve quietly supported my content, hearing their coffee stories, sharing brews, laughing over cups, it reminded me why I started doing this in the first place.

To everyone who came, stayed back to chat, asked questions, brewed alongside me, or simply said “hi” thank you. You made Surat feel like home. ♥️

A huge thank you to Team Aeris, Amit Bhaiya, and Dhanraj bhai for trusting me, making everything happen so smoothly, and taking such great care of everyone. None of this would’ve been possible without you.

I left Surat with a full heart, new friendships, and memories I’ll keep coming back to.

Every month, I taste a bunch of coffees, brew them using different recipes and brewers (sometimes even pull them as espresso) and shortlist the ones that genuinely stand out.

This month’s lineup has four coffees that I absolutely loved, each with a very different personality.

🌿 Spiced Opinions (Peppermint Co-ferment) — A beautifully expressive coffee with prominent cardamom, lemon verbena and peppermint notes. It shines as a pour-over, especially on flat-bottom brewers. I’ve even been enjoying it as a cortado, even though it’s a light roast. Sweet, unique and incredibly fun to brew.

🍊 Howdia Estate by Blue Tokai — A washed coffee that reminds me of orange tea. Clean, balanced and effortlessly drinkable. This is one of my favourite coffees of the year, and I ended up ordering a bigger bag right after finishing the sampler.

🍓 Adwaita by Caffinary — An anaerobic honey from Koraput, Odisha with juicy strawberry sweetness and a lovely lingering finish. If you own an Origami Dripper, this coffee is absolutely worth trying.

🫐 Kerehaklu Mosto Anoxic Natural by Siolim Coffee Roasters — Bright, funky and loaded with blueberry, raspberry and passion fruit notes. Easily one of the best Kerehaklu lots I’ve brewed this year.

There are coffees that taste good… and then there are coffees that keep surprising you with every sip.

This one? Definitely the second. 🤌🏻✨

Unboxing and brewing the Anoxic Mosto Natural from @kerehaklu, roasted by @siolim.coffee, on the @suprima_instruments.

Right from the first pour, the aroma had me hooked. Juicy blueberry, bright raspberry, a drizzle of honey and a tropical hit of passion fruit, all layered beautifully. 😍✨

The best part? It keeps evolving as it cools. Every few minutes, the cup tells a slightly different story, and that’s exactly the kind of coffee I love brewing.
