1 Whole month of Ember 🧡☕ Honestly, what a first month it has been 🙌🏻 To every single person who has walked through our doors, supported us, recommended us, come back for another coffee or made multiple visits each week since we opened, thank you so much. 🫶🏼 We always hoped we’d be busy, especially as the only speciality coffee shop in Hipperholme, but we genuinely never expected the response to be quite like this. 🤯 In just 4 weeks we’ve gone from a team of 3 to now a team of 7. Our fabulous shop manager Jade, Ava our young, but experienced Barista, Nancy our amazing shop assistant, Loz who is one of our other Barista’s who you’ll see on weekends, Lauren who is the newest addition to our growing team supporting through the week and of course myself (Kennedy) who most of you have met and last, but no means least, Brad, co-owner and the cool guy you’ll likely see behind the machine on weekends or keeping our shop looking amazing. Here’s what has kept us so busy over the last 28 days 👇🏼 ☕️ 35kg of coffee beans later and almost 2000 shots pulled @darkwoodscoffee 🧊 10,000 ice cubes and over 1000 iced lattes and matchas served 🥛 320 Litres of milk supplied by @thwaites.milk.n.more 🥐 Selling out of our pastries almost every day, a huge shoutout to our fantastic suppliers @48vbakery not forgetting the amazing bread they supply us with at the weekend! 🍞 Seeing Ember so busy in such a short space of time has been incredible, and we’re hugely grateful for the support from the local community. 🧡 A massive shout out also has to go to our friends and family who have jumped in, helped out and supported us through some of those mad rushes. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you. We’ve still got plenty to learn, that’s for sure, but one thing we do know, is exactly what we want Ember to be. Great coffee, great pastries with a great service and a place people genuinely enjoy coming back to! We’ve got lots more coming that we’re very excited to share over the next few week, so keep your eyes peeled. 👀 Thank you again for an amazing first month. Happy International Coffee Day ☕️🤎 At Ember, everything we do is centred around one thing, really good coffee. From the beans we use to the equipment we invested in and every cup our baristas make, we’ve always wanted to create somewhere people can come for consistently great coffee, every single day. A huge shoutout to our incredible suppliers @darkwoodscoffee for keeping us stocked with the good stuff and being such a big part of what we do. And an even bigger thank you to every single person who walks through our doors, grabs a takeaway on the way to work, meets a friend over coffee or has made Ember part of their daily routine. Your support means everything to us. Here’s to many more coffees, flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos and caffeine-fuelled days ahead. May we continue serving up some of the best coffee around… in our slightly biased opinion. 😉 Have an amazing International Coffee Day! ☕️ #internationalcoffeeday #embercoffee #specialitycoffee #darkwoodscoffee #hipperholme by @coffeeatember
Saturday plans? Sorted. ☕️🪩 Welcome to Ember 🧡 where the @lamarzoccouk is steaming, the baristas are grafting and the only shots we’re serving are espresso ☕️ Strictly caffeine only. Good coffee, unreal pastries, iced drinks, matcha and that Saturday Ember buzz. If you know, you know. See you at the Ember. ☕️ #coffeeatember #saturdaycoffee #coffeeculture #specialitycoffee #hipperholme by @coffeeatember
Story time ☕️🧡 Let’s take you all back to February 2026… We were offered a space in the village with plenty of free parking, a great location and so much potential. There wasn’t really anywhere in the immediate area offering speciality coffee in the way we wanted to and that’s where Ember began… The vision for Ember was always simple. Great coffee. The right equipment. Beautiful pastries. A warm, welcoming space and somewhere people would genuinely want to come back to. We then spent the next three months renovating the space ourselves, working to a budget and slowly bringing that vision to life. There were a lot of decisions, a lot of decorating, plenty of trial and error and more than a few coffees along the way. Then July came, and Ember was finally ready to open its doors… Seven months on from first getting the keys, it’s amazing to look back at how far the space has come. We now have regulars we know by name, people calling in before work, friends meeting for coffee, customers working from the shop and people travelling over specifically to visit us. That support means more than we can say. From day one, we wanted Ember to be more than somewhere you simply grab a coffee. We wanted it to feel like part of the village. A place for properly made speciality coffee, our French butter pastries, friendly faces and a bit of time out from the day. And we’re still evolving… We’re always looking at how we can improve what we offer, and the next step is already on the way with light bites being added to the menu very soon 👀 To everyone who has visited us, recommended us, shared our posts, left a review, brought a friend or simply made Ember part of your routine, thank you. You’ve helped turn an idea we had back in February into something we’re incredibly proud of. Here’s to the next chapter, and hopefully many more years of Ember. ☕️🧡 #coffeeatember #hipperholme #specialitycoffee #coffeeshop #supportlocal by @coffeeatember
