Last “long” run before Marathon Eryri! Really enjoyed that run. A beautiful sunny route and I didn’t die!

Three weeks to go! Am I marathon ready? No. Am I adventure ready? Hell yeah!!!

It’s been an age since I’ve been somewhere new for an explore run. It was glorious to be up and out this morning, running through the beautiful Nidd Gorge. What a way to start the day!!!

A cracking warm run that did so many things for me -

1. Ran to a local landmark and back that I’ve been wanting to tick off for a while
2. Reminded me I can still run 10 miles
3. Found a trail which needs more investigating and is possibly my really long training run route
4. Also reminded me about the adventures of running and got me excited again!

Just the kick up the arse I needed! Roll on a walk to the pub (the long way round) for pizzas and pints before Tom Jones tomorrow!!!!!

The official start of marathon training!!!!

Running just didn’t happen last week because I was ill. So it means a 15 week training block instead of my usual 16. But, I do love a challenge!!! @marathoneryri is not a race to be trifled with, so I’m going to give it a good go!

So if you fancy joining me for a run over the summer holidays, give me a shout!!!!

It was totally worth the appalling get up time for this beautiful, cool (though sweaty) run at 5.30am. So joyful I couldn’t even get grumpy about my watch not starting for the first 1.5km.

It’s our annual get together and we love it!!!

Another beautiful evening for @run.able Round Res, as it always it. But let’s be honest, it’s just a great excuse to catch up with @laurataylor230416 and @manchesterkevruns then eat pizza in the sunshine!!

Love the race, love the route but love the company even more. Cracking night out!!

That was disgusting. But I loved it. Yes I resemble a tomato (but it was 29 degrees). And I have a marathon in 150 days.

It’s good to remember I can do hard things.

So, this is it - the official beginning of marathon training. A glorious run commute in the lashdown rain and wind. And my god I loved it! It was wet and wild and the best fun!!!! And Halifax looked just gorgeous along the way.

@manchesterkevruns shall we marathon again? In 16 weeks?! Bring it on!!!!

A cracking morning out at Dewsbury 10k.

It’s always a fun, friendly race and I definitely enjoyed this morning. Loved shouting encouragement to the speedy ones I know. And great to catch up with @run_brownie_run and @greggsrunner at the finish.

I might not have got a PB but I’m well chuffed with my time after a limited year of running and it shows there’s life in the old girl yet!!
