Unofficial introduction time…

If you’ve spent any time in the watch community, chances are you’ve come across Jimi aka @watchwasp

Usually holding a coffee. Usually wearing a 6-digit Rolex.

Usually convincing himself he’s finished buying watches.

At first glance the account is all about coffee & watches.

Rolex.

More Rolex.

The occasional Omega.

Coffee.

A wrist shot.

Another coffee.

And a discussion about why a particular date on a warranty card means more than the watch itself.

Because that’s really what makes Jimi different.

The watches are great, but the stories behind them are better.

Birthdays. Family. Memories. Moments worth remembering. For Jimi, the #connection always seems to matter more than the reference number.

What we enjoy most is that he never takes himself too seriously. One day it’s a thoughtful post about family. The next it’s coffee and watches. The next it’s a public debate about selling a watch that everyone knows he’ll probably regret. And buy back again (Air King, Hulk, Explorer II, OP Green……)

So if you enjoy watches, coffee, good stories and the occasional dose of watch-induced chaos, give @watchwasp a follow.

Just don’t ask him which watch he’d keep if he could only have one.

Unofficial introduction time…

If you’ve spent any time in the watch community, chances are you’ve stumbled across Matt (@coffees_and_calibers ).

A bloke from Melbourne who’s roughly 12 hours ahead of the UK, meaning while we’re deciding what watch to wear today, Matt is already halfway through tomorrow.

At first glance the account is exactly what it says on the tin.

Coffee.

Watches.

Coffee.

More watches.

Coffee.

GMTs.

Coffee.

The occasional pastry that looks better than anything we’ve eaten this year.

And then probably another coffee.

The photography is superb. The collection is superb. And unlike most of us, Matt somehow seems capable of turning up to work looking smart, organised and properly put together.

What we like though is that amongst all the beautifully lit watch shots and flat whites, there are little glimpses of the person behind the account.

One post about his son genuinely stopped us scrolling.

Because as much as we all enjoy the watches, they’re never really the reason we stay.

We’re here for the people.

Matt just happens to take very nice photos while we’re at it.

Give him a follow.

And if he starts talking about tomorrow’s news, remember he’s already there.

Unofficial introduction time...

If you’ve spent any time in the watch community you’ll probably have come across Brad (@caffeinecalibre ).

A man whose life appears to revolve around six things:

• Tudor

• Speedmasters

• Coffee

• Dogs

• Gardening

• That ridiculously green living room wall

The Tudors are usually photographed better than the marketing department could manage.

The Speedmasters appear with alarming regularity.

Doug and Mais seem to tolerate the whole thing as long as treats remain part of the arrangement.

There are regular walks, plenty of time spent in the garden, and enough “plonk shots” to keep the entire watch community entertained.

And somehow that green wall has become almost as recognisable as the watches themselves.

But if you asked Brad which watch he’d save first, I know it wouldn’t be a Tudor or a Speedmaster.

It’d be the Explorer 36 he wore on his wedding day.

Because for all the great photography, coffee, watches and banter, that’s what his account is really about. The stories behind the watches and the memories attached to them.

In a hobby that can occasionally take itself a little too seriously, Brad’s account is just good watches, good photography, good dogs and good people.

Give him a follow.

Just don’t encourage him to buy another Tudor.

He absolutely doesn’t need one.

(He’ll buy one anyway.)

Continuing the unofficial #CoffeeAndWatchesWeek introductions… today we have the one and only Grayson / @minutes_in_the_moors ☕️⌚️

And honestly… Greyson’s account is just good for the soul.

Coffee ✔️
Watches ✔️
Golf ✔️
Golden hour wrist shots ✔️
A feed that somehow makes you want a Tudor Bronze even if you didn’t before ✔️

One of the things I really enjoy about Grayson’s content is that it never feels forced. It’s watches mixed with real life… family moments, Irish roots, coffee, outdoors and the simple things done well.

A proper top bloke and a great part of the watch community.
