COMPETE. LEARN. REPEAT.

The annual @ricebusinessplancompetition by @riceuniversity @rice_business @ricealliance is the biggest and best collegiate startup competition in the world, awarding millions of dollars in prices and investment to the best student-run startups from across the globe. Competition participants have recorded $6.1bn in capital raised, 59 exits, and 5 IPOs.

Over 3 days, investors and judges meet teams, provide feedback, and vote on the most investable startups - culminating in a showcase and awards ceremony that brings together the startup ecosystem to celebrate.

All of the 42 startups were top notch this year, and #Houston wishes you the best of luck on your entrepreneurial journeys!

One stood out as the winner not only for their unique differentiation, top tier presentation/sales skills, and strategic traction, but for the founding team. They followed their passion, identified a need, and got jobs in the industry to learn how it works, and spent years learning from experts that became their partners and mentors. They have a clear, tactical plan to dominate a category close to everyone's heart. Everyone watch out for @proteinpints ice cream as they muscle their way into a grocery store near you!

COLLABORATE & LAUNCH.

@codelaunch from @lifeatimproving is a hackathon meets startup showcase meets concert whereby software development teams pick their favorite startups, rapidly build their MVPs, and the startups launch the MVP in a public forum.

Events are held annually in #Houston and globally.
