Shabbat Shalom!

James 5 (Yaakov)
[Complete Jewish Bible]

1 Next, a word for the rich: weep and wail over the hardships coming upon you! 2 Your riches have rotted, and your clothes have become moth-eaten; 3 your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat up your flesh like fire! This is the acharit-hayamim, and you have been storing up wealth! 4 Listen! The wages you have fraudulently withheld from the workers who mowed your fields are calling out against you, and the outcries of those who harvested have reached the ears of Adonai-Tzva’ot. 5 You have led a life of luxury and self-indulgence here on earth — in a time of slaughter, you have gone on eating to your heart’s content. 6 You have condemned, you have murdered the innocent; they have not withstood you.

7 So, brothers, be patient until the Lord returns. See how the farmer waits for the precious “fruit of the earth” — he is patient over it until it receives the fall and spring rains.[a] 8 You too, be patient; keep up your courage; for the Lord’s return is near. 9 Don’t grumble against one another, brothers, so that you won’t come under condemnation — look! the Judge is standing at the door! 10 As an example of suffering mistreatment and being patient, brothers, take the prophets who spoke in the name of Adonai. 11 Look, we regard those who persevered as blessed. You have heard of the perseverance of Iyov, and you know what the purpose of Adonai was, that Adonai is very compassionate and merciful.[b]

12 Above all, brothers, stop swearing oaths — not “By heaven,” not “By the earth,” and not by any other formula; rather, let your “Yes” be simply “Yes” and your “No” simply “No,” so that you won’t fall under condemnation.

13 Is someone among you in trouble? He should pray. Is someone feeling good? He should sing songs of praise.

14 Is someone among you ill? He should call for the elders of the congregation. They will pray for him and rub olive oil on him in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer offered with trust will heal the one who is ill — the Lord will restore his health; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. by @cogmers_

The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) will begin this Friday evening 25th Sept. to 3rd Oct. It is the seventh and final Biblical holiday (Lev. 23:33-44). Sukkot is celebrated for eight days, from the 15th to the 22nd of the seventh month. During this time, Sukkahs (huts) are constructed to symbolize the temporary shelters Israel lived in for forty years in the wilderness during the exodus.
Sukkot prophetically points to the world to come (Olam Haba) and the Millennial Kingdom reign of King Messiah.

From Yom Teruah (the Day of Trumpets) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), the calendar transitions from the somber feasts into the joyous festival of Sukkot. The festival is also known as the 'Season of our Rejoicing' (Deut. 16:13-15). Sukkot is the last of the three annual pilgrimage feasts, including Pesach (Passover) and Shavu'ot (Pentecost (Deut. 16:16). Yom Teruah celebrates the return of our Messiah and King, Yom Kippur celebrates atonement and judgment, while Sukkot represents God's dwelling among His redeemed people.

The joy of Sukkot emanates from the satisfaction of knowing that your sins were atoned for on Yom Kippur. It also recalls the miraculous provision Israel received during their sojourn (Lev. 23:43).

Sukkot is the hallmark of the festivals and the fulfillment of the plan of salvation since it prophetically foreshadows the Millennial Kingdom of Yahshua Messiah, where all the remnant of the nations shall go up to Jerusalem to worship ADONAI and to observe the Feast of Sukkot (Zech. 14:16). It also foreshadows eternal life in the world to come. Sukkot is the fulfillment of God's prophetic plan where the tabernacle of God shall dwell with men.

Revelation 21:3 - "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the Tabernacle (Sukkah) of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people".

𝐓𝐳𝐨𝐦 𝐊𝐚𝐥! (𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭)

This evening begins the 25-hour fast of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). Yom Kippur is observed as the holiest day of the Hebrew Calendar, and provides prophetic insight of the Second Coming of Messiah, the restoration of Israel, and the final judgment of the world. The day also reveals the great priestly work of Yahshua as our High Priest (Cohen Gadol), after the order of Melchizedek (Heb. 5:10).

Leviticus 16:29,31 - “And it shall be a statute to you forever that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict yourselves and shall do no work, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you. It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; it is a statute forever.

𝒀𝒐𝒎 𝑲𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒖𝒓 (𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕) 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒔!

🗓️ Yom Kippur | The Day of Atonement.
⏰ 10 Tishri 5787: Sundown Sun. 20th - Dusk of Mon. 21st September 2026
===========================================================

After the festivities of Rosh Hashanah, we quickly transition to the somber mood of Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the Biblical Calendar. The Bible describes it as a 'Shabbat Shabbaton' (a day of complete cessation from work). It is celebrated on the 10th day of the biblical seventh month, Ethanim/Tishri (Lev. 23:26-32). The Holy Day is sandwiched between Rosh Hashanah (Yom Teruah) and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). Yom Kippur completes the 'Ten Days of Repentance' (Aseret Yemei Teshuvah) also known as the 'Days of Awe' (Yamim Noraim). The 40 days of the Season of Teshuvah begin in Elul 1 and are completed on the Day of Atonement. Repentance is a major theme during these holy days because it affects heaven's decree for us for the upcoming year.

The climax of the 40 Days of Teshuvah is a 25-hour fast on Yom Kippur. The fast symbolizes the desire of God's people to be eternally cleansed from sin. The idea of 'afflicting the soul' (Lev. 23:32), or fasting from food and drink, is not seen as punishment for our sins, but as a way to help us focus on the spiritual side, free from the desires of the flesh.

Jewish tradition teaches that on Yom Kippur Moses came down with the second set of the Stone Tablets after the first set was shattered during the sin of the Golden Calf (Exod. 34:28), which represented the New Covenant of Zion. Beware of those who would have you return to the terms of the Sinai Covenant (Gal. 3:1)! God made a New Covenant, NOT like the Sinai Covenant (Jer. 31:31-33). Yahshua is the mediator of this New Covenant (Heb. 9:15).

Psalms 32:1-2
[1]Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
[2]Blessed is the man to whom the Lord doesn’t impute iniquity, in whose spirit there is no deceit.

Shana Tovah U'metuka! (Have a Good & Sweet New Year)

Tonight & tomorrow marks Rosh Hashanah, Yom Teruah, Rosh Chodesh and Shabbat (A four in one Holy Day). The Hebrew Calendar shifts from 5786 to 5787 tonight. Tishri 1 begins the Natural New Year.

The New Moon of the 7th month is colossal. The people of God (Jews & grafted-in believers) mark time with the moon. Like the moon, they will rise up and light up the darkness of this world.

Joel 2:1 - Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain..."

The Season is Fast Approaching! Are you prepared to meet the King?

🗓️ Rosh Hashanah - (רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה) | Head of the Year.
🗓️ Yom Teru’ah - (יוֹם תְּרוּעָה) | Day of Trumpets.
🗓️ Rosh Chodesh Tishri 🌑 5787 | New Moon Tishri 🌑 5787.
🗓️ Sabbath | Shabbat.
⏰ 1 Tishri 5787: Sundown Fri. 11th - Dusk of Sat. 12th September 2026
==============================================================

Rosh Hashanah is Yom Teruah, the Day of the Shofar (ram's horn) blasts [Day of Trumpets]. This year it's very special. It quadruples with the weekly Shabbat, the New Moon and the Day of Trumpets.

Leviticus 23:23-24 - And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation."

Prophetically, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) foreshadow the End of Days. Additionally, the Season of Teshuvah (Repentance) runs from Elul 1 to Tishri 10, meaning that, according to prophecy, the Jewish nation doesn’t return to God and the Messiah at the beginning of the year. They return prophetically in the latter times, as the Calendar reveals.

The shofar or trumpet is the biblical symbol of the End Times. The Day of the LORD and Judgement on the world will be announced through the sounding of the trumpet (Joel 2:1, Rev. 8:2). Judgment is announced on the world through the blowing of the trumpets (Rev. 8:2). The Messiah's second coming will be ushered by the Trumpet (1 Thess. 4:16). The dead in Messiah will be resurrected through the sound of the Trumpet (1 Thess. 4:16). The bodies of the elect will be transformed from mortality to immortality through the sounding of the last Trumpet (1 Cor. 15:52). Most importantly, the Kingdom of God will be established in the world after the 7th angel blows the Trumpet (Rev. 11:15).
