Happy trans day of visibility! I love being a trans man that gets to play rock music 😎 also shout out my nonbinary band members for rocking with me hehe 🫶
It’s very surreal that this is my 10th year on testosterone, and my 11th year celebrating tdov 🥹 I’m extremely grateful to be where I’m at today! I was able to start HRT in 2015 as a minor, which strangely seemed to be more acceptable to society back then than it is right now. Unfortunately, there’s over 20 states in the US right now that have banned or heavily restricted gender affirming care for trans kids. With everything going on in the world it can feel like information overload, but please don’t forget that trans people are still fighting for our rights, and it’s important to speak up when you can! My existence is proof that being a trans kid wasn’t “just a phase”, and that gender affirming care saves lives. Trans people are some of the most creative and empathetic people around, we know ourselves well (even as kids) and will continue to live on authentically in spite of any legislation targeting us 🏳️‍⚧️ thank you to the trans/queer people who listen to 12th House Sun and who have reached out to me over the years! I want to be visible with my experience to show that trans people have a place in music too and we can pursue and accomplish any dream we have for ourselves 😎🫶 love you all sm 💙🤍💗 :)
