What does a pregnancy test mean to you? I looked at her fishnets and couldn’t understand how she would feel comfortable dressed like that… Candy is hustling every night but lately her mood started affecting her job. Is she PMSing that hard? Sorry, babes, I’m technologically challenged. Updated YouTube link is in bio now! by @colalalacat
Inspired by the archetypes from the feminine sacred text Women Who Run With the Wolves, our team made a small visual story in celebration of creativity, feminine energy, storytelling, and the freedom to let ideas run wild. A heartfelt thank you to Dmitri Shostakovich for his genius music, and to Helena Lemkovitch for her beautiful interpretation of a song whose rights were far beyond our small production. The French subtitles were created with the help of AI and a touch of linguistic creativity, so apologies to anyone who might be hurt by them. Thank you for watching and for joining us on this little adventure into the wild. As Bob Ross would put it, we got a little happy accident. :) Whenever I need to work on my photos or edit videos on my own, I go to a public library. It’s my routine, I guess, an artistic process, if you wanna call it. If I weren’t breaking every piece of equipment I touched, maybe I’d work from home. But hey, at this point, my relationship with TPL is part of my lore. In the age of AI, I like it when things aren’t perfect and mistakes happen. This time, the library gave me a broken chord that created this beautiful distorted effect in my Canon 7D photos. Honestly, obsessed! Want to experiment more with broken equipment and see what can I get from it! by @colalalacat

You are quite good but it’s hard to be understood by your own audience looking at you in the mirror. Why are people scared of being laughed at by someone they never met? We think we know that we are we though do we really know who we are? Or maybe we get used to presence of reflections especially when we don’t know the essence of careless desires and neglectful shadows, at times we scramble for attention, the who we are gets lost. #8minutes by @colalalacat
Lonely fool single and video out today! I never set out to make an album but lonely fool began it all. It is the first song I wrote on this album, at the loneliest and most vulnerable I had ever felt, in the midst of what I now accept was a kind of heartbreak, also an omen of things to come… Lonely fool is a song about unrequited love, falling for someone and feeling the fool for it, a feeling I’m sure we can all relate to in some form... My eternal gratitude to everyone involved in bringing this song and video to life. First, to @justdanonly for helping me elevate my little guitar musings to something so grand, to @davidaplowman for bringing the countless pieces all together, and to @eastendmastering for the finishing touches that brought it all to life. And so much love to my video team, what an adventure! Who came first: the chicken or the egg? Do you remember floating for nine months in your mother’s womb, surrounded by your own urine? Did you hear whether she wanted you when she found out she was pregnant? Did you think, when you were born, that there would be times when you would hate her? Did you like the taste of her milk? How do you order cappuccino these days? Were you fated to be a man and look like your father? Was I meant to break up with my boyfriends because I don’t want to have children? Is everything we ever do simply tied to desire? ... I’d say it’s the chicken. by @colalalacat
For my almost summer holiday, I went to join a large peaceful protest against CANSEC - Canada’s largest arms trade show held annually in Ottawa. Rosie Lucente, a spokesperson for the Shut Down CANSEC campaign, told Ottawa Citizen: “They sell weapons to Israel, to the Philippine government, to other governments that are carrying out genocide. They fuel dictatorships, and every deal made here at CANSEC is a death sentence to a colonized person, to working people all around the world.” I rate this experience as “damn, I wish this world was different” on a scale from “patriarchy is great” to “join the armed forces, buddy, we will show you life”. by @colalalacat
When I was little, my face was so round and perfect that I thought having dark circles was really cool because only adults had them. Now that I don’t know how to get rid of my dark circles, and not enough sleep in the world can help, I think being cool means: - Being kind and honest; - Trusting your gut feeling; - Respecting wise people; - Laughing at the word “CUNT”; - Having dinner with friends; - Talking to parents; - Making music; - Not drinking much; - Assessing situations; - Accepting challenges; - Not looking for approval; - Apologizing for being shit. I think it’s cool to: - See clearly; - Help others; - Say it as it is; - Make decisions; - Recognize beauty; - Shut up when you need to; - Avoid being rude; - Find a balance; - Be critical; - Be political; - Be funny; - Be a woman. 📸: by @tianyi.zh . by @colalalacat
