🚨 CAUTION 🚨 God is moving on this campus😤

Extremely blessed and beyond grateful for these people God has put into my life. Their joy from encountering the Lord, their boldness to share His name, and resilience through hard times is not only rare, but not of this world. It’s a privilege to call them brothers and sisters in the faith!

✞ After being accepted to Carolina last Friday, there is only a few things I know for sure: God is gracious and faithful, and I have never felt more free than when I am obedient to His plan

✞ For the past two to three months, I continue to go back to a piece of scripture I read in Acts 16 verses 6 and 7, where Paul is just starting his second missionary journey. The passage speaks on a time where Paul expects to enter Asia, which is modern day Turkey, and the Holy Spirit forbids him from entering. How could Paul, one of the most qualified apostles, not be qualified or not be allowed to preach and share the word in Asia? But, it is not necessarily that Paul was not qualified, but he was meant for another place, and someone else was meant to take on that role. We later learn in the very next verse that Paul is called to Macedonia (a place he would have been unable to go to after entering Asia) and Peter was ordained to spread the word in Asia. God’s timing is superior, and He is sovereign.

✞ Shortly after being waitlisted to Carolina my senior year (by no ones fault but my own), I with very little faith fell into anger, resentment, and selfishness that kept me from celebrating my friends and their own achievements in a selfish way. This was Gods initial warning, that worldly validation and achievements as my sole reliance is a house on sand, and the amount of internal pride and self-righteousness was great. I would love to tell you that after a deferral I ran to Him, but I didn’t. In fact, it was not until around January that he revealed in my heart the good he had still put me in.

✞ I saw my situation as a failure, and my year at RCC as settling, but God was faithful in a way I did not deserve, and still blessed me with classes, professors, and brothers in Christ who encourage me in my walk with The Lord everyday. This, is where the connections to Paul became clear. I will forever be grateful for my year at RCC, and would endure the heartbreak of a waitlist a thousand times more, and still not see Carolina if it meant my God would call me back home. My soul longs for its Creator.
