The Felix Vest: Asymmetric, slightly sailor, deliberately light. Made to sit over the clothes you already own and give you another way of wearing them. For the black and linen versions, I wanted to make it lighter and thinner. I think a vest is at its best when it doesn’t demand an entire outfit around it. It should work with the clothes you already have. Over a white tee, an old shirt, under a jacket. The Makers Journal: Your order is on the production floor right now. The fabric has been cut. Your piece is being sewn. Hands on cloth, seams being pressed, every detail being worked through properly. (Estimated Delivery 28th June) You guys really know how to fill a production line. Our production is currently spread across three individual studios to deal with capacity and get as many hands on deck as possible. I’ve been making regular visits to check everything over, and if not me, our production owner and manager Dennis can see it, touch it, and send it straight back if it isn’t right. Win of the week: The care labels and COAS jeans buttons arrived. I don’t know why this one hit so hard. I’ve made hundreds of garments by hand. I’ve been running this brand for over two years. There have been plenty of moments that should have felt like a proper jump in the air and tap your heels together kind of thing. None of them landed quite like seeing those labels. There’s something about a care labels and Branded buttons that makes a garment feel finished. Solidified. It’s an industry standard that most brands don’t think twice about. For us it felt like a milestone, maybe because it’s the kind of cost you only commit to once things have started to go your way. I designed them myself. I wrote them myself. All the way down to the care label, everything at Cold On A Sunday is designed and produced with consideration. This is a brand that makes nothing without it. Still not ordered? Stock is still available on the site. You can still get involved in this production run. Disclaimer: Before you throw a brick at my head The 28th is looking pretty likely.
