17-Year-Old's First 90 MPH Breakdown 🔥 Cole Cheatham has added 3.5 mph onto his peak FB velo and 4 mph to his average FB velo since joining Tread 8 months ago. He signed up as a 16-year-old sitting in the low 80s, having topped out at 87 a couple of times. As a multi-sport athlete, Cole brings a lot of natural athleticism to his throw and has great awareness of his body as he works through mechanical changes. Upon his initial assessment, 3 main areas of focus stood out: 1️⃣ Clean up arm action timing 2️⃣ Separate the pelvis and torso during rotation (keeping torso closed longer) 3️⃣ Fix his lead leg block Cole's plyo drill progression started with a lot of kneeling throw variations to clean up the arm action, and pivot pick variations to help him feel and unlock separation from the upper and lower half. At 6’1", 185 lbs, there is still a ton left in the tank for Cole. This summer, we will continue to get after it in the weight room, continue our trend of cleaning up mechanics, and push for some output. I am confident that he will be able to climb his way up the 90s over the next year and beyond! by @cole.cheatham7
