note to self: the best views are even better when shared

Ruby Beach, on the west coast, stole my heart. Not having traveled much, I felt incredibly lucky to witness this stunning view. And guess what? Despite being by the ocean, it was surprisingly warm! 🤓☝️

Which photo do you like best?

Thanks @thejamesbottomley_ for taking pics of me

Portrait shoot with @betz.ang

Shot on Canon r6 mark 2 with my custom presets

For this shoot we took advantage of the amazing lighting at @thegallerystudioyyc . There is a big open window and that was the only light source we used. Experimented with up close shots, facial expressions, and texture. I think it turned out pretty great :) taken in Calgary, Alberta by @coleaparsons

Portrait Shoot with @allegradcatalano

Shot on Canon R6 mark 2. Presets made by me

Regardless of the fact that we only had 45 minutes to grab these pics we still did pretty good 👀 a huge goal with this shoot was to play around with up close shots, props, and texture.

Let’s talk about depth in photography.
It’s not just about background blur, it’s about layers, perspective, and storytelling.
⠀
Here are 3 ways to create more depth in your shots:

1. Foreground elements – Shoot *through* something: a window, leaves, or even a person’s shoulder.
2. Leading lines – Use roads, fences, shadows to draw the eye into the frame.
3. Light separation – Place your subject in a different lighting zone than the background. It makes them pop (i held a flash in my non camera hand to help with this:))
 ⠀
The more depth, the more immersive the image feels. Try it next time you shoot! And show me the pictures you take! taken in Calgary, Alberta by @coleaparsons

Seattle wears its blues like a masterpiece. Moody skies, endless water, and a city that feels alive in every shade

Heres what being on the road for two weeks taught me:

1.Bring the right people.
The people you travel with shape the entire experience. Long drives, missed turns, early mornings, and unexpected problems all feel lighter when you’re with people who bring good energy.

2.Don’t forget to relax.
Not every moment needs to be scheduled. Sometimes the best part of the trip is slowing down, sitting in silence, and actually taking in where you are.

3.Leave room for spontaneity.
Some of the best memories were never planned. The random stops, last-minute detours, and unexpected adventures ended up being the moments we talked about most.

4.The stars are worth the drive.
Some views only happen when you leave the city behind. Driving out into the quiet, away from the lights, reminded me that some of the best moments come when you make space for stillness.

5.The right ride changes everything.
We partnered with Indie Campers for this trip, and honestly, it changed the whole experience. Comfort matters more than people think, and having the right setup made the journey feel just as good as the destination.

From long drives and late-night laughs to views that made us stop and just take it all in. This trip was more than just a road trip. It was a reminder to slow down, stay present, and leave room for the unexpected.

Huge shoutout to @indie_campers for being a part of the journey. I teamed up with them for this trip, and having the right setup honestly changed everything. Comfort, freedom, and the ability to wake up somewhere new every day made the experience that much better.

If you’ve been thinking about planning your own adventure, this is your sign.

Traveling through Utah was an absolute dream! The beautiful red rocks, deep caverns, and trees mixed in all came together to create one of my favorite landscapes of all time 😍
