🎆 Final Layer Finished! 🤗 Saint Felicity of Carthage, a Christian slave in Roman Africa, was martyred in 203 AD alongside Saint Perpetua. Arrested while pregnant, she endured imprisonment, gave birth behind bars, and was executed soon after. Her story is not only one of faith but also of sacrifice and the enduring power of virtue.

Across cultures, virtue is often shaped through hardship and carried forward through generations. Felicity’s final moments were more than an act of defiance against Roman oppression—they were a testament to the idea that true integrity outlasts the individual. Though history does not name her child, they stand as a living symbol of this inheritance, a reminder that a mother’s trials are never hers alone.

This painting reflects on that legacy—the passing of strength, the burden of sacrifice, and the way belief extends beyond the self.
