GEE DAY. Thank you God for another year of life. Crazy how growing up our 30’s sounded so old and now I’m here feeling wiser, stronger, and more grounded than ever. 2026 has been heavy. Grief, growth, lessons, and navigating life in ways I never expected but through it all I’m GRATEFUL. Grateful to still be here. Grateful for every lesson, every prayer answered, and every moment that shaped me. Grateful to simply be able. Love on your people. Live everyday like it’s your last. More life. More blessings.

Letter To Aunt Cynthia ✍🏾

I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. A whole decade without you. I was 21 when I lost you still in college, still finding myself. You don’t expect to feel that kind of heartbreak. You don’t expect your family to be in the headlines. You don’t expect evil to walk into a church and take someone you love. You always hear about mass shootings, but you never think it’ll happen to your own. Until it does.

Losing you changed me. It changed our family, our world. I lost my faith. I lost my way. And honestly, I’m still trying to find it.

I self sabotaged. I loved too hard and forgave too easily. I was confused. But I never stopped trying.

And even though you weren’t here to see it I moved to ATL and made a name for myself—for the Graham legacy. That legacy is what kept me going when I had nothing left. It’s hard to believe so much time has passed. I wish you could see how far I’ve come, how many memories we’ve created in your honor.

We just got back from a girls’ trip for mom and I know you would’ve been there. A library in Charleston bears your name. Dad wrote a book, started a foundation and a tennis tournament in your name. Cortney is married now, with two beautiful kids. And me? I’ve lived in four different states, each place teaching me something new about life, love, and strength.

I’m writing this letter to you because sometimes, this is the only way I can truly express how I feel.

The world is still messy, still filled with hate and injustice. But I’ve learned that only love can conquer hate. So no matter how people treat me, I stay solid. I stay grounded. I stay me.

We miss you more than words can ever say. Every day, in ways big and small. I still don’t understand why it had to be you. But what I do know is this. You’re still changing lives. Even in your absence. You changed me. I started writing. And somehow, through the pain, God began to heal what was broken. I found my voice.

To anyone who’s lost someone I’m praying for you especially when the calls stop and the world moves on. When you’re having a good day and grief hits you out of nowhere. You are not alone.

Life Update: Can’t believe I moved to Miamiiii 🌴 Six months ago I left DC not knowing what direction my career was going into. I loved DC but it drained me. Working 2 full time jobs. PE Teacher during the day and Head College Coach at night took its toll. Working a 8 hour shift in DC to drive 1.5 hours to campus for practice/games and 1.5 hour back to the city everyday for 5 months.

I’ve been in Florida for a couple months now and I already feel right at home. In just a few months I’ve been blessed to meet, connect and be invited into rooms with people that I never even imagined, while still doing what I love. Today my team lost in the Palm Beach League Championship 🏀 And although we didn’t get the win it reminded me of how far this game has brought me in life. Can’t wait to show yall what I’ve been cooking up 🎥😎 taken in Miami, Florida by @coleegee

My heart has been heavy all week. Praying for a miracle while I prepared my heart for the worst. Words can’t express the gratitude that I have for you and the impact you’ve had on my life. Always holding me accountable and teaching me everything you knew about the game of basketball and life. I’ll never be able to re pay you for the doors you opened for me. Way more than just a coach but an all around great person and family man. Your smile, your light, your aura is infectious. You touched so many people.

Mallard Creek WBB would be NOTHING without you. To watch what you and Sarg have done to the program over the years is remarkable and honorable. Your first team at the Creek. We paved the way. We made history! IMECK Champs, Sectional Champs, Final 4 & West Regional Runner Ups. What a time we had. The Creek is a powerhouse because of you. You taught me the real meaning of sisterhood. You taught me hardwork. You taught me grit. You taught me discipline. You taught me how to be successful while always remaining humble. It was an absolute honor to play for you and to have been blessed with your presence. You were everything to the Creek girls and the entire city of Charlotte. A true 704 legend.

I remember talking to you my senior year about my career path. I was lost on what to do next. You were adamant about me being a good coach and I told you that you were crazy. You told me everybody wasn’t built for this coaching life but I was. Here I am 7 years later, a college Head Coach. You believed in me my whole life even when I didn’t believe in myself. You changed my life C.

I am truly grateful to call you my coach, my mentor, MY FAMILY. Our relationship was so much bigger than basketball. The brotherhood and bond you shared with my dad made me feel even closer to you. You were there for me way before I knew that you’d be my coach.

Coaches are trailblazers. Paving the way for others to follow their dreams and step into their greatness. You exceeded those expectations. I just want to say thank you. Thank you so much for your impact and love. You are iconic and will truly be missed. #CREEKFORLIFE 💔💔💔🥹 by @coleegee

As I take this ride back to Atlanta from Birmingham I can't help but to be thankful and blessed for the year I had. I can't believe college basketball is really over for the kid. Clark Atlanta has been so good to me and although the season didn't go as expected I have absolutely no regrets. After I lost my aunt two years ago I thought it was the end. I thought I was going to lose myself and was in a really bad place; but I took that hurt and pain and was determined to honor her and follow in her footsteps by playing the game I love . Every time I hit the floor I played for her with so much passion. This game has taught me so much and I'm so blessed to have been able to be on athletic scholarship for 5 years. Being able to receive a number 9 jersey on senior night to honor her and the other 8 victims is something that I will truly cherish with me forever. God is truly amazing and I know it's not the end for me. It's been one hell of run but it's time for the next chapter. RIP TO THE CHARLESTON 9 😢❤🏀 by @coleegee
