I don’t have the words to properly describe what I’m feeling right now. So, to those of you who have been there and guided me through it, thank you.

All I can say is thank you to everyone who’s been there in this long journey. These past 8 years have held the most formative experiences of my life. Being a part of the marching arts changed everything about me and shaped me into the person and musician I am today.

To be given a chance to properly continue that after these past few years is something that means more than words to me. I finally got my age out experience, and for those who were there with me, you’re the best ever!!!

I also got to cap off my matching arts career with my first trip to Dayton (not to perform but to to teach). I felt as thought it was not only a fun experience but also an incredibly educational one. One that I hope I can use to continue to be an educator (and maybe hopefully writer) in the marching arts, to continue to provide a more amazing experience in the marching arts than I got!

Oh! Also @officialmolls took like most of these freaking photos so show her some love bc she’s a great photographer! by @colemanmoore_

So I guess this is a bit of a life update post. With my member bio going out for the Indoor program, I wanted to share what I’ve been up to recently.

First, Spartans Indoor Percussion!!!! It’s so cool to be a part of this ensemble and to help foster its growth in its first year. Rehearsals have been fun and me and my friends are goofs, nothing new there.

Second, Sam is short that is all.

Third, I’m done with all of my classes in college! Well, I still have to put on my recital which is a logistical nightmare and I have no idea what I’m doing but some pretty cool people are helping pull it off, but more about that later. What does this have to do with Debussy having a cone on his head?… idk dude it’s funny alright.

Fourth, I released a massive project a couple of weeks ago! A piece I wrote was performed and recorded by some awesome and lovely people. It was so amazing to work with them and to have them bring this piece to life. Seriously it sounded like crap in logic. If you haven’t checked it out, go to my last post or check out the link in bio to watch it!

Fifth, this summer was really tough for me. Having the opportunity to properly age out in this activity which I have put so much into was incredibly disheartening, but I am so thankful for the staff at Spartans for putting together what they still could to give people some semblance of a season. That video is my age-out performance, it was put together in four weekends by the whole corps. It was the best thing I could’ve asked for given the circumstances.

Sixth, wow this list is long. I went skiing and riding with my friends in VT and kicked off my 20th season of snowboarding… holy cow that’s a lot!

And finally, I moved to boston now! So if y’all are ever in town or you live here, just want to hang out, or want to invite me to a show or something just let me know! I’ve been here for nearly a month already and I haven’t really done anything outside at all…

Anyways that’s it! Thanks for letting me rant and share y’all. I’ll try and keep this more up to date. Peace✌️! taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @colemanmoore_

Spooky season came and went, and I’m still a nerd. I went as Futaba(and even found Mona) and my roommate went as Rantaro. Yes even the pumpkins are from video games. by @colemanmoore_

Hey, I hand made mallets this weekend, it was a lot of fun and an interesting challenge. It got my brain working a lot and I think I want to keep doing this. Thanks to @haileymaxwell4 for teaching me how to. P.S. the order I made them in is left to right. Trying to make a graduated set and experiment along the way that’s why the wrap is so different. by @colemanmoore_

Hey, I’m now a Music Composition major! By the end of the semester I’ll post the first(good) thing I actually wrote(from start to finish without giving up). I know this is where I should be because I avoid doing other work to do this so... good start I guess. Also, It’s spring.....-ish..... by @colemanmoore_

Tried skiing for the first time today, I’ve been snowboarding for 17 years so I think that helped a fair bit but still surprised at how quickly I picked it up. by @colemanmoore_

Ahhh! So many things have happened that it’s hard to keep up. From making new friends with a new SPit(which is already awesome), and working all break teaching snowboarding, to making new memories with old friends and new ones. It’s been hectic but fun. by @colemanmoore_
