The (re)build out continues! The space is kind of a wreck at the moment but you can see the bones of an organized environment. The Colentas are in place and the US representative is arriving Friday to start the process of getting them up and running. We will work on this through the weekend and by Monday…so back.

I’m very impressed with the organized and quality build of these machines. They are so clearly made to last not just because of the quality components, but the apparent ease of service access.

I cannot stress how much faster we are going to be without the need to hang dry BW film or load reels or sheet film. I know we’ve been slow through this process but I hope you understand we’re just warming up the warp core.

It’s been a few days since our new Colenta C41 film processing machine arrived at Nelson Photo & Video, and we’re loving it. It’s officially settled into its new home in our San Diego photo lab, processing roll after roll of color film, and we’re pretty excited every time we see it in action.

Film has always been a big part of what we do. We develop both color and black and white film right here in San Diego, along with film scanning and other photo lab services. Bringing in the new Colenta is just another way we’re keeping our lab up to date while continuing to give every roll the attention it deserves.

And of course, we’re more than just a photo lab. Nelson Photo & Video is also your local San Diego camera store, with cameras, lenses, film, accessories, and plenty of people who genuinely love photography and are happy to talk gear or help you find what you need.

So stop by Nelson Photo & Video, grab a few rolls of film, check out some new camera gear, or drop off the rolls you’ve already shot for developing. We’ll take it from here, and we can’t wait to see what’s on them.
