year 4 🇦🇲🏀 always an honor. nothing feels quite like what we’ve built here, truly memories to last a lifetime! I’m immensely grateful for the opportunity to help the future of basketball for the motherland. Cannot say thank you enough to all the people/brands/restaurants/family members who help me make this week the best! We are so lucky, no diaspora shows up like the Armenians 🙏🏻 arach hayastan 🇦🇲 by @colenutrition

What an humbling experience it was for Papa’s to recharge Team Armenia after practice. 🏀🥩

Spending time with the players, sharing great conversations and connecting over good food, made a day we won’t forget. It was an honor.

We’re wishing the entire team nothing but success and we’ll be cheering for you all every step of the way. 🇦🇲 by @colenutrition

year 3 🇦🇲🏀
Working with @armeniabasketball is one of the highlights of my year. It’s an honor to be part of this team and get to know these athletes. More than just basketball and nutrition, this is about community and culture being shared on a larger stage. I’m so proud of this team and grateful for all the support we’ve received. To the staff behind the team… thank you for your strength even on the longest days. you guys are rockstars and make this one of the best weeks of my year! Time to sleep! LET’S GO HAYASTAN🇦🇲 by @colenutrition

I wish I could compile every memory, laugh, and lesson that I’ve experienced at Skratch in the last 3 years in this post but that would take me another 3 years! I can’t walk away from this experience without immense gratitude for all the athletes I’ve met and cheered on, coworkers who turned into family, and all the places I got to experience. I’ll never forget the mandatory Braums runs, dance sessions, laughing til we cried, making hundreds of rice cakes, pancakes or quesadillas and seeing all the office dogs (and being one of their many treat stops). I would have never thought the last 3 years would grow me like they have, but thank you to everyone who was along for the ride. Off to the next adventure! by @colenutrition

Welcome to Episode 87 of the Eat for Endurance Podcast, featuring Colette Vartanian @colenutrition, the sports dietitian and Athlete Care Manager over at @skratchlabs.

Today, Colette and I are chatting about personalized hydration. We discuss key hydration concepts and strategies, including how to identify fluid and sodium needs during exercise, the role of thirst, prehydration vs hyperhydration or preloading, various methods of sweat rate and sweat composition testing, how to adjust your hydration plan for different weather conditions, and SO much more.

If you’re looking to dial in your hydration plan, which as most of you know is a highly individualized process, give this one a listen! Episode 52 with Andy Blow of Precision Hydration is another great hydration episode, in case you missed it.

FYI, this episode is NOT sponsored by Skratch, but I really like their products and always enjoy connecting with my dietitian colleagues. If you’re interested in trying Skratch products, you can use the 20% discount link that I provide to my nutrition clients - EATFORENDURANCE20 (this is an affiliate link, so you can shop while helping to support the pod).

I hope you find this episode helpful! Visit the link in my bio to listen, or find it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your shows. And while you’re there, please take a minute to follow / subscribe and to rate and review my podcast! Thanks so much for your support. by @colenutrition

2023 was a challenging year for myself but I’ll never forget the love and kindness of my community and how rewarding my career is that even through challenges I wanted to show up. It is wild looking back at all the athletes we served at @skratchlabs and @skratchlabscafe this year!! So thankful for all my people at Skratch, my colleagues in sport and my athletes for allowing me to do what I love. To many more nutrition talks, races, athlete calls and travels in 2024! You all made my year so special 🥹 by @colenutrition

Armenia National Basketball Team… wow what an honor and experience to work with the players, the staff and be present for my community. My biggest dream leaving grad school was to support Armenia and armenian athletes with the skills and knowledge I’ve gained over the years. Surprisingly, I can now say that I have and I will continue to. One of the most rewarding experiences in my life to be with my armenian brothers and to help with the future of Armenian Basketball. Not only are our athletes amazing but I got the pleasure of spending time with amazing coaches, staff and supporters. We fed them, cared for them and built a community for their first ever games in the US.

Also, a shout out to @skratchlabs for fueling both Armenia and France for the whole week and letting me experience this once in a life time opportunity!!
