This is the girl of my dreams. My best friend. My partner forever. My teammate. Worth more than the sum of any dollar, prized far more than any possession.

The question that’s riddled me since we started dating,

“God, how do you pursue her? And how can i join you in that?”

A sentence @matthew_hanna__ said to me in conversation last year.

I’ve done my best to do that. To represent Christ to you. To love you as Christ loves His bride, the Church.

You’ve brought me closer to God, helped me love others better, taught me to slow down and be patient.

Ive never met a more generous person. Willing to give not just your money but your life. For the Gospel, for friends, and for strangers. You teach me what love looks like not just by your words but by your conduct.

You laugh at the days to come, you cherish the moments God gives us, you serve with a willing heart.

Yes, you make mistakes, but instead of staying defensive, you take ownership of them. You ask for forgiveness, you move forward.
And when I make mistakes, you forgive, you go slow, you respond in kindness. You define others by the way God sees them, not by the mistakes they’ve made. You understand the ways of God and live it out.

You have changed my life by the way you love.
I could not speak more highly of you.

Celebrating our love this last week was so holy. Our joy glorified God. Our celebrating pointed to Him
