In the words of Stephen King, โ€œSome Birds arenโ€™t meant to be cagedโ€ ๐Ÿ“œ ๐Ÿฆ… Officially about a Month into my healing journey after breaking my leg tryna race a 6 year old with socks in the SAME HOUSE that I tell l him to not Spider-Man off of the furniture. Millennial Mom Tings ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ˜‚ Fortunately, Iโ€™m starting to see the light at the end of the hobble-leg tunnel, with a brand new respect for athletes, any-plegic, ballerinas, and just FEET in general! ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ I should be back in my usual morning 5K business hopefully by Christmas, but took a step out this weekend to see if my good foot could hold it downโ€ฆAND DID! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿพ Iโ€™m a firm believer that Movement is indeed Medicine, but nothing more healing than a solid village! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ HUGEEE Thank you to everyone whoโ€™s pulled up, stayed over to make sure I was okay and helped with carpool rides for my kiddos, kidnapped me for some fresh air, called, sent prayers and just kept me uplifted during this Boot SZN ๐Ÿ˜‚ it means ALOT & Iโ€™m FOREVER THANKFUL!!! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅน Howwwwever, Back to the MF couch & Icepack I go tho so I can finish this last part of the healing journey! ๐Ÿ’œRHS SENIOR HOMECOMING๐Ÿ’› WHEW!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จTime flies yall!!! ๐Ÿฅน From carrying my little 1 year old on my hip to my Senior Homecoming parade and the game and designing a custom purple homecoming 2 piece (last pic) to mum shopping, sobbing non-stop in the dressing room dress shopping ๐Ÿ˜‚, and getting her dolled up to go to hers at the same exact school. The only thing I can say is Godโ€™s Plan man! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ Watching my daughter blossom has been by far the coolest thing The Lord has allowed me to witness. To know Aniya is to love her and my circle can attest to that. Her smarts, her beauty, her wit, her heart, her authenticity, and her drive to do her own thing and make it completely hers are just a few things that make me so proud to call her my baby girl!! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฉท Her Senior year has brought up a wholeeee mix of emotions for me as a mom, but by far the most consistent one has been Gratitude! God keeps showing me His hand in my Home, my Kids, and my family and Iโ€™m forever grateful for that. Officially the last week of summer for my lil man and the name of the game is GRACE! ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ Thank you for teaching me grace in this season sonโ€ฆfor myself, for you and for the world around me.๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ Most importantly, for reminding me that life works better when we never forget the inner kid in us. From popsicles for breakfast, impromptu water gun fights (mostly indoors ๐Ÿซ ) and โ€œMOMMY, COME WIPE MEโ€s in the background of my zoom calls youโ€™ve taught me not to take life to seriously going forward. Crazy how someone whoโ€™s only been here 3 years can change the perspective of someone whoโ€™s been here 10x longer.
