@pretty_fly_4_a_kacti ‘s Columna Alba group staging in a custom Colibrí vessel… #summer by @colibri.ceramicz
Copiapoa Tebebrosa v. INERMIS ~~~~~~~~ One of the most interesting and cryptic qualities of not only copiapoa , but within cactacea as a whole; the inermis trait aka spineless. Famously Copiapoa Tenebrosa is one of the more universally, and pretty much the only , consistently inermis copiapoa. It’s easy to wonder how this may be… With how incredible cultivation bred phenotype traits have become in recent years, most people believe that’s how these inermis copiapoas have (barely) reached greenhouses across the world. However, this trait comes straight from the source; habitat. This anomaly is one of the most interesting occurances in the genus Copiapoa, as a small side couloir of the famed San Ramon Canyon is loaded with these alien-like , spineless Tenebrosa in just this one small hillside….. It was pretty special putting this staging ensemble together since @pretty_fly_4_a_kacti and I had just seen these wonders in habitat only a few months prior. Here he is staging his tenebrosa from @mesagardenplants in a porcelain #colibriceramics pot for the Intercity Show this past August…. by @colibri.ceramicz
Recap of some of the pots that sold in under 10 minutes during yesterday’s @palmstreetapp sale…. Overwhelmed with gratitude for the support of my work lately. Looking forward to hopefully getting some more pots made and maybe another PS drop this month~~~~~~~~••~• by @colibri.ceramicz

A few pots that came and went during my first pop up showing under @botanicwonders foliage wonderland last weekend….this was also my first sold out pop up event. So blessed to make pots for this beautiful community… by @colibri.ceramicz
Sometimes it’s a two man job. Staging up @pretty_fly_4_a_kacti ‘s Krainziana for intercityshow in a 17” pot I made… If you made it to the intercityshow this summer, then you probably saw this beautiful behemoth. It was a cornerstone to Evans “Best Collection”, which was a real treat to see. Hauling these plants to and from the show is no easy job, and not only that, it’s risky. Huge appreciation to those who continue to donate their beauties to these events and make them possible. If you haven’t entered your plants to the intercity show or your local club, i highly reccomend doing so. It really makes the shows a whole different experience when you’re a part of them.. I met Evan when we traded a pot for a plant on instagram back in 2022. The Inter city show every August is a beautiful reminder of the community and shared obsession that revolves around a love of nurturing cacti and succulents. Im so greatful for all the people I’ve met and am yet to meet and the adventures this passion has posed. Hearing the tales of botanizing in the remote regions of the world and the origin stories behind the trades most legendary plants makes me feel honored to be apart of this ongoing legend.. @gtnursery @williamlegoullon and I are planning something new for next summer, so be sure to plan your visit to Los Angeles for next years show… by @colibri.ceramicz
