Meet the LMT behind Colibrí Massage Therapy! ✨

Daniela Isabel Travieso LMT started practicing to help people who move feel empowered in their bodies. Daniela knows that in the slice they witness, who you are or how you feel that day, contains more than just the body of tissue: bodies of experiences, emotions and spirit. Their philosophy is rooted in growth rather than ‘healing’—Daniela approaches sessions not just with their treatment but also with the intention of graduating clients to move on and feel empowered in their lives.

Daniela is also an artistic athlete and a professional circus artist which informs their ability to address common tension or injury patterns for athletes, dancers, hypermobile and/or neurodivergent people. Daniela knows that with big movement, comes big feelings, and the space they create can hold all of it.

Outside of massage, Daniela is a personal trainer at Misfit Strength Studios, helping people understand their bodies and their movement as a powerful tool for grounding. They are passionate about shame-free movement for every body and believe in health at every size principles. by @colibrimovement

Are you in need of someone to chat with about body stuff? Is there anything you don't understand about any of these topics? For both current clients and prospective ones, I love education and giving people agency. Let's have a chat about what your goals are and how you can get there!

Feel free to reach out personally or via the link in my bio.

Beyond massage therapy, I am a strength coach and personal trainer at Misfit Strength Studio and have educated myself on program design, exercise, and nutrition for body composition goals with a soft specialization in hypermobility spectrum disorders. DM me if you want to learn how to squat or deadlift for free! 🏋️ by @colibrimovement

Colibrí Massage Therapy is celebrating the harvest of a prosperous summer! 🍂🍊🎃 by @colibrimovement

Summer update 🌺

I'm starting to see a handful of regular clients in my private practice and at Unravel, the clinic that I work at. I became credentialed with Premera at Unravel and I'm starting to take insurance clients. It's been interesting and fulfilling, I really like it when I start seeing someone regularly 😁

Speaking of regulars, I wanted to remind everyone of my sliding scale option and punch card pass options. My sliding scale is 80-130 for a 1 HR massage and the per session cost is even less than that for the punch card which has 3 session and 6 session options. If cost is a barrier to you getting regular massage, please talk to me! Skill trades or bartering is also an available option so don't hesitate to reach out. I am also happy to write superbills for you to get reimbursed with your insurance

Summer is in full swing and I have some upcoming time off: July 12-19, August 7-8, August 12-16, August 21-25. Let me know if you're looking for any recommendations for other folks who could see you! I'm always happy to refer out to my favorite peers 🌈 by @colibrimovement

Updates for Colibrí Massage Therapy!
🌱 I had the opportunity to volunteer massage for the production of Giselle at the PNB! what a fun chance to work with dancers--I did a lot of calf work😂
🌱 Recently published sliding scale rates for packages and I made little punch cards for it. I'm actually getting a lot of requests for regular periodic work and depending on how often some people want to see me, I might be reaching close to my limit? Not sure but it's very exciting and also if you want periodic massage I recommend reaching out sooner rather than later 😬
🌱 New business cards for my practice! I made the design myself so I'm super chuffed about them

All in all things are going well! I'm going to start working at Unravel therapeutics where I'll be there on Saturdays and Mondays. They take insurance so check them out to see if your plan covers massage.

Enjoy the augurs of spring! by @colibrimovement

Here's a description of services that I have available and training I have done (that I feel comfortable doing)! Let me know if you have any questions about what certain terms mean or how things work.

As always, anyone you work with should be able to explain what they are doing and why they feel it is indicated by @colibrimovement

📍 Beacon hill location is shaping up 🎪

I love making sure a place is at peak cozy. Always feel empowered to request ear plugs, eye masks, changes to bolstering, music, and warmth to make your sensory experience of a space more comfortable. You deserve the extra effort!
