Been about a week since I got back, I’ve noticed New Jersey sure does have a lot of traffic lights. Didn’t see any in most of Ireland. It’s like the whole country side is at a 4 way stop. Patiently saying to each other “You go” “No, you go” “Nonsense, I insist.”
Everything and everyone’s slowed down, quieter too.

Most of the landscapes came from county Cork and Kerry, where the Doyles are from.

Checked off the mandatory tourist sites: Cliffs & Blarney Castle. Kissed the Blarney Stone which is said to give whoever kisses it the Gift of the Gab. That’s the ability to talk and talk some more. Which they say is a blessing, not a curse. I kissed it and I kissed it good. In other words, I’m not going to stfu any time soon.

As we continue on this journey of visual and literary annoyance, you may notice sheep. Good you’re still here. The Irish fella is Kevin. He’s kind, soft spoken and walks with his hands behind his back. He’s also the proud shepard of a herd of over 100 sheep and the little ones in those pictures are those rejected by their mothers. Fun stuff. This means each of them get bottle fed by Kev 4 times a day. That’s a lot of times. My mother loves me and I don’t even get feed that much.

The island formation in the fog is referred to as Deadman’s Island. If you’re grim, you can say he’s dead. Or you can he’s sleeping. Which is nice and all until my Dad can’t help but blurt out, “Looks like he’s got morning wood”

Touché padre.

Fun fact of the day: Way back hundreds of millions of years ago when the world was Pangea and geography made sense, the Appalachian Mountains we know in the states (such as but not limited to) Pennsylvania, Kentucky and West Virginia would actually be considered the same mountain range as the entire island of Ireland.

Performing in Rutherford was a dream come true. That’s not to say it didn’t come with its own set of logistical nightmares. For example, I almost made the stage lights kelly green, white and orange but I didn’t because it would’ve scared away the Italians
