Capturing LA at its quietest.
You can find me droning at 3 am, when LA is at its most serene.

Venice was an amazing place.
Venice is an amazing place.
Venice will always be an amazing place. Period.

It’s where I grew up.
It’s where my heart lives.

I walked that boardwalk all my life.
I surfed those waves.
I lived the culture, the lifestyle.

It’s changed, sure.
but my heart and soul are still there.

My name is Colin Renaud and I grew up in Venice. I went to school in Santa Monica, but Venice will always be the place that shaped me. Growing up here was something special and it continues to define who I am today.

This footage is the result of six different nights of shooting to create just 18 seconds of drone shots. It took patience, but I’m so happy with how it came together and I hope you enjoy it too.

The Venice Canals have always been one of my favorite parts of this neighborhood. Tucked away just a few blocks from the ocean, they feel like a hidden world of calm in the middle of the city. The bridges, the reflections, the quiet pathways—it’s a place where time seems to slow down.

Every time I come back here I’m reminded why Venice will always feel like home.

I woke up at 4am to capture this footage in Long Beach. Let me know if it was worth staying up all night to capture these moments?

Pulled up to the 105/110 overpass at 3AM—dangerous, surreal, and totally worth it. LA never sleeps, and neither do I. #LateNightMissions #LosAngelesVibes taken in Los Angeles, California by @colinrenaud
