“NO SE VENDE” by Acacia Latin Dance Company 🇵🇷

“A floating island of garbage.”
We heard it.

Exactly six years ago, I started this piece. Back then, I thought I knew the story I wanted to tell.

Somehow, the story only got bigger.

No Se Vende is Puerto Rico as we know it — the pride, the pain, the history, the music, and everything we carry with us.

From bomba, rooted in who we are, to reggaetón becoming one of the biggest sounds in the world — our culture has never needed permission to be heard.

Some of it is obvious. Some of it isn’t. That’s intentional.
From the island to the diaspora, the story keeps moving. And through all of it, we still dance, celebrate and show up for our people.

What you’re seeing here came together over the last month.

Thank you to every single one of our team members for bringing this to life!

Finally had some time to rest after a weekend of festivities 😅. El Jangueo was one for the books and I can’t thank everyone enough who showed out.

Family, friends, my beautiful team, our community… you know who you are.

A lot of love for everything we’ve built here. 🇵🇷

Don’t make that same mistake twice.
