I realized addiction is an allergy, a double-edged sword. A physical craving and a mental obsession that plots. If you know, you know. #addictionrecovery #alcoholic #mentalhealth #soberliving #addictionawareness #recoveryispossible #doubleedgedsword #selfhelp by @collapse2calling

This craving is an itch I couldn't scratch. The mental obsession takes over, plotting how to get more. If you know, you know. I finally found hope and purpose in sharing this. #AddictionRecovery #Sobriety #MentalHealthAwareness #HopeAndHealing #Transformation #RecoveryIsPossible #SelfHelp #OneDayAtATime by @collapse2calling

9/27/26 4th Annual Recovery Awareness Day at the Marlins Stadium (v/s Braves). 2nd time making it to this awesome event. Proud and grateful for the support of Full Life Comprehensive Care, Caron, Reprieve Recovery Center, Futures, and othersโ€™ support to CARP to whom I owe everything. It was a great day with my sweet Joy and so many of my other fellows. โšพ๏ธ ๐ŸŸ๏ธ by @collapse2calling

Waking up and choosing connection, not the rabbit hole. It's one day at a time, grounded in a source bigger than me. I'm not alone, and neither are you. #recovery #oneDayAtATime #inspiration #mentalhealth #resilience #soberliving #hope #connection by @collapse2calling

๐Ÿชœ Recovery is a process. Treatment is often a continuum of care.

Detox, residential treatment, PHP, IOP, outpatient support, therapy, psychiatry, primary care, sober living, and a strong recovery community can each play an important role.

The more time, patience, and support we give recovery, the stronger the foundation can become. ๐Ÿงฑ

If insurance or finances are standing in the way, please donโ€™t lose hope. Other resources may be available. If you or someone you love has even an ounce of willingness, reach out. I will help connect you with people who can guide you toward the help you need. ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿš— Detox โ†’ Residential โ†’ PHP โ†’ IOP

After completing detox, residential treatment, and PHP, the next level of care may be IOPโ€”Intensive Outpatient Program.

IOP offers continued therapy, groups, and accountability with much more independence. Programs may meet several times per week, including evenings or weekends, allowing people to begin returning to work and everyday responsibilities while remaining connected to therapeutic support.

This is where the rubber begins to meet the road: practicing recovery in daily life while continuing to receive help.

We cannot do this journey alone. Recovery takes willingnessโ€”and a village of loving people ready to support you along the way.

Save or share this with someone navigating the treatment process.

๐ŸŒฑ You completed detox and residential treatment. What comes next?

PHPโ€”Partial Hospitalization Programโ€”is often the next level of care. It provides intensive daily therapy and accountability while allowing a little more independence, autonomy, and flexibility.

Recovery is not a process to rush. If insurance is willing to cover continued treatment, I suggest taking advantage of every appropriate level of care available to you.

You owe it to yourself to build the strongest possible foundationโ€”so you do not have to keep starting over.

Please save or share this with someone navigating treatment options.

๐Ÿฅ Detox may remove the substance from the body, but it does not treat everything underneath the addiction.

Residential treatment offers continued structure, therapeutic support, education, and connection while giving a person more time away from their drug of choice (PS alcohol is a drug too). It is an opportunity to begin understanding the disease and allow new roots to take hold in recovery. ๐ŸŒฑ

When residential care is available, especially when insurance will cover it โ€” I strongly recommend considering that next level of support.

Detox is the beginning. What comes afterward can help create the foundation for sustained sobriety. ๐Ÿชด

Save or share this with someone navigating treatment options.

What does an alcoholic or addict look like?

She may look like your sister, cousin, neighbor, coworker, employee, or doctor.

Alcoholism and addiction do not discriminate. They are progressive, potentially fatal diseases that can affect anyone, regardless of appearance, education, profession, intelligence, or circumstances.

Once the body becomes physically dependent and the mind is trapped in the cycle of addiction, stopping without help can feel nearly impossible.
