The Running Order
The unofficial running programme of Edi Fringe.

August in Edinburgh is hectic.

Between shows, work, beer gardens, long runs and last min plans it’s easy to let the month disappear on you. So, as much for us as you lot, we’ve created a wee calendar to keep track of things.

On the other side you’ll find a big old illustration which we think is a fitting reflecting of Fringe mania – colouring in is encouraged.

Printed exhibition booklet designed for Fruits of My Woman at @lowerhewood curated by @chantalpowell

“Fruits of My Woman takes its starting point from Korean author Han Kang’s short story The Fruit of My Woman, in which a woman gradually transforms into plant life. Her transformation is a refusal of the life that has contained her, but it also opens another way of being: one rooted in relation, attention and care. In the story, plant life is not decorative or passive. It becomes a different mode of perception, one that reveals interdependence and asks what might become possible when the human is no longer treated as separate from the vegetal world.

The exhibition is curated in conversation with the Lower Hewood Farm art collection but also with consideration to the wider life of the farm: its land and vegetation, the Survival Library and barn, the growing projects and community. It is already a place where art, books, food growing, ecological practice and shared enquiry meet, so the exhibition developed through those relationships, bringing literature, symbolic inquiry and the vegetal life of the land into conversation.

Across painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, textile, glass and film, 17 artists explore metamorphosis, resistance, body, ecology and the porous boundaries between human and plant life.

The exhibition is accompanied by a booklet which includes an essay by @simoncgrant

A celebration of Edinburgh’s running community and culture.

Big love to this year’s contributors – Micaela, Svein, Toby and Wallflower all running @edinburghmarathonfestival this weekend.

Artwork for Paul Hierophant – The Elder Gods [GTD.032] out now on @gatedrecordings

Active in London’s electronic underground since the late 80s, Paul Hierophant has long worked in the space between techno, ambient, and dub, preferring atmosphere, tone, and slow-burn tension to obvious dancefloor tricks.

This is an EP for selectors who like their electro expansive, slightly strange, and built for proper sound systems.

New printed booklet for @jorumstudio and the opening of their new London store at 2 Marylebone Street.

Conceived as a multi-sensory space, the store invites a dialogue between Scotland and the wider world, where craft, culture, and contemporary perfumery meet.

Here, Jorum has curated a selection of objects and works including contemporary pieces by Scottish makers, antique curiosities and design classics chosen for their enduring relevance. These sit in conversation with international makers who share Jorum’s commitment to material integrity, craft, and considered design. The result is a space shaped by curiosity and intent; experienced through touch, atmosphere, and discovery.
