life lately 🤍

this platform has always been an open diary for me- i find written words and photos more powerful than verbal communication at times. i share all of this so that if anything resonates with you- you know you are never alone🤍

life has been ~weird~ lately? but also good?

unfamiliar rhythms, soft moments, quiet wins, and some days heavier than others. it’s been good. it’s been hard. but we keep going—one breath, one step, one small joy at a time. healing isn’t linear, but it’s still forward.

i’ve been missing my routines, my little comforts, the quiet presence of people who feel like home.

but i’m learning to let go of control. to let the messiness in. to trust that grounding can happen anywhere, even when everything feels up in the air. healing doesn’t always look like stillness—sometimes it’s found in motion, too.

falling out of love with animals from your ED…

SO many of you swiped up on my story about this and it breaks my heart that it’s actually so common. i grew up LOVING animals, my veganism revolved around my love for them, heck i used to save slugs from thunderstorms…

i didn’t know it in the moment, but somewhere down the road that love faded. my dog wanting to go out would annoy me, my cats wanting to cuddle was suffocating, every little thing was aggravating. it wasn’t until i dove head first into my recovery that my love for them started to come back. every chance i get to care for an animal fills up my cup. (let’s not forget my dog attack last summer)

i wholeheartedly believe that animals are the ones who save US. we don’t save them. to think i let my ED take that away from me is sickening and i am so grateful to be in love with my furry friends again.

in true aquarius fashion i’m always searching for what’s next. a new city. a new routine. a new version of myself. i’ve spent so much time believing growth had to come from constant motion.

but maybe this season is teaching something different.
that discomfort isn’t always a sign you’re in the wrong place. sometimes it’s the exact place you’re meant to stay long enough to become someone new.

don’t outrun the in-between. trust that not having all the answers doesn’t mean you’re falling behind. it means you’re living.

i hope you’re reminded that you’re not behind, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to have it all figured out to keep moving forward.

mind if i leave these here?

lil bits and pieces from life as of late, that somehow have my cup overflowing.

i think i like it here. i’ll stay a while.

i used to think slowing down meant missing out.
turns out it’s what finally put me in the room for everything i actually wanted.

less rushing, more noticing.
less forcing, more being available for what’s already happening.

and somehow… that’s when life started meeting me halfway.
the people, the moments, the things i used to dream of… they started finding me when I stopped running past them.

no big shift. just softer pacing that made everything clearer.

i think i like it here. i’ll stay a while.
