Lost notes of week one:

Birds shifted my rational thread. To make the paper or to make the story or…? Oppressive structures are uncreative. And the gap, the path. Why didn’t you? The land remembers, y o rio también de su curso. Enkosi. Erosion. How is my uhul level today? Hay que desfrutar, esto no se pregunta. They didn’t discovered us, we discovered them in our land. Notions of property. Time and its textures. Celebrating creativity is not, won’t be, romanticising poverty. Ephemerality as statement of integrity. Army is needed needed to protect weak foundations. Rhythms, spaces, gestures, languages, microfones and the embodied intention of co-composing. Permission to rehearse.
Amazon not Amazon: and marchs, repetition.
The problem is the problem. No money will buy our land. Removal of the teeth as a mining movement, to avoid the click of the language, danger of beauty in meaning. Colonialists call this land observatory. Decay. Narratives of linear time gives permission to believe that we moved on.
O som das ondas. Simbiosis. Challenge, choice, outcome. Entanglement. Trigger. Test. How? The names behind the spectacles. Practice permission. Make your bed, take out the trash. Não engajamento é rompimento? Descomponha-se em presença. The commitment is with creation. Lessons are no longer true. Paradoxical curiosity. Hierarchy gives permission to violence. What it’s the time of current? And what is the texture of wonder? That’s absolutely not what I said. Reality? Not everything requires intervention. Mimicry. Sowing words. Time as events not causal. Símbolo vivo ou símbolo sínico? Not, when, my responsibility? Laim and industrialised views. In which time water dance? How, if at all, shall we redraw our desire’s map? When and where do I feel ready? Camp. Opacity of alignment, gesture, message, time, again. Of the non premise of understanding. Layered. When a movement becomes a laugh. For today, is enough, and this is rebellious - spring is rebellious. What if? by @collectivewebs

We are 26 layers of the new new futures territory. In movable positionalities, between team, faculty and artists participants the collective is formed and started its entropic experiment under the vast, yet so delicate liminal space of de()composition: between extraction and regeneration.

Standing on the threshold where we witness worlds, systems and territories collapse, we invite uncertainty and its transformative powers to be embraced and weaved as part of the process of both discovering and composing paths, as we move.

Going from the grounds of narrative transformation, towards the roles of artistic practices and historical/contemporary contexts, the virtual presence slowly gives space to be decomposed into full senses memories to come. 🕸️

(De)composition, Extraction and Regeneration

Notions of change happen individually and collectively. In a world where personal challenges are echoed in others, these become sites for social justice. How could we shift from the singular my to ours? Our life, our planet, our existence? How to return to the earth?

In the context of multi-dimensional and interconnected global crises (environmental, economic, social, political), this residency aims to collectively speculate and practice strategies in order to create movements which are plural and creative, considering that there’s no life without a whole ecosystem of collaboration and codependency.

The call invites artists between 21-35 years old, experienced with artistic creation in the context of social justice issues and committed to collaborative work.

Where?
The Residency Program will occur online, and in person in the Western Cape Province, South Africa.

When?
June - July (online)
August - September (In-person)

🔥 DIA M — O MITO DA MINERAÇÃO
📍 Belém • 14 de novembro • COP30

A Mídia NINJA junto ao WEBS Collective ocupam Belém com um dia inteiro de artes, intervenções e debates para desmascarar a narrativa da “mineração verde” e dos “minerais da transição”.

Às 9h, intervenção urbana abrindo o Dia M com ação direta contra o greenwashing das mineradoras.

Às 14h, o MABE vira ateliê aberto com o coletivo VazioSobreTerra e oficinas criativas com Bárbara Milano, Rainha das Matas e Evna Moura — produção de cartazes e lambes para a Marcha da Cúpula dos Povos.

Às 17h, debate “O Mito da Mineração”, mediado por Isa Canela ( @collectivewebs ) e Eloá Santos ( @minasninja ), reunindo ativistas, comunicadores e parlamentares para discutir extrativismo, crise climática e transição energética.

Às 18h30, exibição do filme “Amazônia, a nova Minamata?” de Jorge Bodansky, seguida de conversa com a equipe sobre a luta Munduruku contra o garimpo e a contaminação por mercúrio.

Às 20h30, intervenções visuais tomam a cidade com projeções e ocupação artística.

O Dia M também acontece simultaneamente em outros países da América Latina com memethons e criação coletiva, em parceria com @utopix_cc , @elsurti , @DesignAtivista, @pulitzercenter, LATINA and WEBS Collective, com apoio da @EarthAlliance .

Mídia NINJA hosts a full day of art, interventions and debate exposing the false narrative of “green mining” during COP30.

9 AM: Street intervention at Av. Marquês de Herval.
2 PM: Creative lab at MABE with VazioSobreTerra, Bárbara Milano, Rainha das Matas and Evna Moura.
5 PM: Debate on mining, transition minerals and greenwashing.
6:30 PM: Screening of “Amazônia, the New Minamata?” followed by a talk with the team.
8:30 PM: Visual interventions across the city.

De 10 a 16 de novembro, a capital da Amazônia receberá o circuito cultural VAZIOsobreTERRA, uma semana de programação no @mabepaoficial, como painéis de debate, exibições de filme e performances, e uma ativação especial na Zona Azul, núcleo oficial de negociações da COP30, a convite do ecpavilion.

As ativações no MABE fazem parte da exposição VAZIOsobreTERRA, que conta com mais de 30 artistas de mais de 10 nacionalidades do Sul Global.

EN: The official program for VAZIOsobreTERRA: Co-creating as Emergency Exit is live!

From November 10 to 16, the capital of the Amazon will host the VAZIOsobreTERRA cultural circuit, a week of events at @mabepaoficial, including debate panels, film screenings, and performances, and a special activation in the Blue Zone, the official negotiation hub of COP30, by invitation of ecpavilion.

The activations at MABE are part of the VAZIOsobreTERRA exhibition, which features over 30 artists from more than 10 nationalities from the Global South.

A programação de Segunda-feira 10NOV. conta com painel de debate com artistas, ativistas, cientistas, mestras de tecnologias ancestrais, movimentos sociais e comunidades impactadas além de exibição de filme, performances e experimentações sonoras.

Na exposição serão mais de 40 artistas e coletivos de mais de 12 nacionalidades refletindo sobre as consequências locais e globais da mineração e propondo juntos outros horizontes possíveis. O Palácio do museu se transforma aqui em caminhos imersivos que vão desde as feridas profundas e cada vez mais abertas do corpo-terra; passando pela hipocrisia violenta de um mito de progresso infinito; em direção à práticas e reparação e regeneração ecoando as vozes de humanidades afetivas e plurais.

The @mabepaoficial will be the home for the VAZIOsobreTERRA exposition and cultural occupation, unfolding from November 10 to February, with activations and immersive experiences happening throughout the week.
