POSTS STORIES REELS

Growing up in this world, especially with social media and constant connection, it’s easy to feel like you’re never enough.
We’re measured by likes, follows, curated images, and highlight reels, and it can make even small achievements feel insignificant. Whether you’re Gen Z or just navigating life in this digital age, the pressures to look perfect, perform endlessly, and meet endless expectations are real. But I’m learning that stepping back, honoring my growth, and choosing authenticity over perfection is powerful. Our worth isn’t defined by a screen or comparison, it’s in how we show up for ourselves, how we care for our minds and bodies, and how we embrace our real, messy, human selves.

Growing up as Gen Z came with a strange mix of freedom and pressure. We had real childhoods, yet our teenage years were dominated by social media, trends, and impossible beauty standards.

I remember seeing myself at 13, already editing my photos to appear thinner. By my twenties, I was still chasing an image that wasn’t mine, trying to fit into ideals created for someone else. It’s painful to realise how early self-criticism and comparison can take root, and how long it can follow you.

But the hard truth is also liberating: the moment you stop trying to be what the world wants, you start to find yourself. You begin to heal the little girl or boy inside who learned to shrink, to hide, to conform. You start to reclaim your body, your mind, and your truth. Self-care becomes more than appearance; it becomes authenticity, self-respect, and freedom.

Yes, it’s still hard. The pressures aren’t going away, and social media will always be loud. But our worth isn’t defined by algorithms, trends, or anyone else’s ideal. By choosing to honour who we truly are, we can finally break the cycle — for ourselves, and for the next generation. Because being you is the most radical, beautiful, and powerful thing you can be.

From someone who truly cares 🫀🤍 and understands what it feels like to be a modern-day woman.

Unveil Within was created from a place of love, lived experience and a desire to help women feel more at home in themselves. A space to soften, release, reconnect and feel cared for in a world that constantly asks us to do more.

You deserve to feel good within, not just on the outside. 🤍 by @colleen_unveiled

🕊️ OFFICIALLY QUALIFIED IN NEOLIFTING® + BUCCAL MASSAGE 🕊️

Another very special little milestone for me. 🤍

I’m so overjoyed to bring NEOLIFTING® + BUCCAL MASSAGE into my rituals; two beautiful and truly life changing practices that bring together so much of what I believe in: working with the body, not against it.

NEOLIFTING® weaves together lymphatic drainage, breath work, fascia release, external + intraoral massage and sculpting to help release tension, support lymph flow and circulation, soften the nervous system and naturally bring more lift, definition and vitality to the face.

It was such an honour to learn the science, knowledge and artistry behind this work from the incredible @tatianavorontsova_ & @umaghosh 🤍

Being surrounded by women with open hearts, who so generously share their knowledge and believe in ageing beautifully, naturally and consciously, was really something special.

I feel so grateful to keep learning, growing and deepening my work; and I can’t wait to share these rituals with you. 🕯️✨ by @colleen_unveiled

A little milestone I’m so happy to share 🧚

I’m officially qualified in full-body lymphatic drainage massage 🌀🦋

Lymphatic work has always been something I’ve believed in, both through my facial rituals and in my own self-care. The lymphatic system is such an incredible part of our body, supporting fluid balance, immune function and our natural detoxification processes.

I’m so excited to now weave full-body lymphatic drainage into my rituals and create new treatments centred around lymph, circulation, relaxation and connection to the body. 🫀

I made a promise to myself to never stop learning about our amazing bodies, and I’ll continue to grow and enhance my skills so I can bring more to my clients.

So grateful to my wonderful teachers for such a beautiful learning experience, and to the beautiful people I met along the way.

I’m so ready to come home and do this beautiful work. 🤍 by @colleen_unveiled

Grateful for the heart of @colleen_unveiled and the hands, experiences and lessons behind @unveil_within

I’ve learnt that life isn’t linear. We’re meant to feel it, experience it, get things wrong, learn, grow and let our experiences shape us.

That’s where @colleen_unveiled was born and now in true human form @unveil_within

Creating rituals and spaces that challenge the norms rather than reinforce them.

I’m so grateful to Colleen for slowly unveiling the woman she thought she needed to be, and slowly discovering the woman she actually is.

For lifting the veil on life, turning experiences into purpose, and creating something that feels deeply aligned. 🦋

Do these pictures and trends feel hauntingly familiar to you, or do they make you feel nostalgic?

Being born in 2000, I really feel like we grew up in such a strange in-between generation.

We remember what it was like to grow up without phones. I didn’t get my first phone until around Year 5, when BlackBerrys were the thing to have, along with Paul’s Boutique jackets.

Then suddenly came Facebook, Tumblr, Vine, Facebook famous, hipsters, thigh gaps… the list goes on.

I got Facebook when I was around 13, when there were barely any safety features and social media was still so new. But we were growing up alongside it, and it was impossible not to be influenced by it in some way.

Then came the makeup. HD brows, MAC, contouring, American flag leggings, Obey caps.

Then bodycon dresses, being skinny, then being curvy, sucking on bottle lids to get big lips 🤣🤣, tanned skin from Sunbeds, big bums and gym culture.

And we were still under 16!!!!

Then we got older, started earning our own money and began making changes to ourselves. Lip filler, cheek filler, bigger lips, bigger boobs, smaller noses… all to fit into whatever the current version of “beautiful” was. (Might I add many of us were underage victims of filler)

And now we’re back to natural beauty, clear skin minimal makeup, natural features. I can’t bloody keep up!

It really never stops, it’s happened for hundreds of years, but social media and growing up with it just makes it 10000X’s more toxic and influential.

I think Gen Z is such a complex generation because we got to experience life before social media, but also grew up while it completely changed the way we saw ourselves.

Maybe we were the experiment.

But maybe we’re also the generation that can start unlearning it.

Changing our algorithms, questioning what we consume and forgiving ourselves for all the ways we thought we needed to change to fit in.

Maybe we can influence what comes next. 🌀📱 by @colleen_unveiled

🌀 is there anything more raw and real than showing up, speaking your truth- in the moment? Rather than it being planned/carefully thought out. The best voice of reason always comes from the present moment.
This is something AI can never replace; emotional intelligence, experience, observation, analogies- etc etc.
The new world is waking up, things are becoming clearer, the online world is becoming realer. Let’s make this place a good place 🌍❤️🫶🏻 by @colleen_unveiled
