Moms can do it all

Band family! The University of New Haven has a special little member who enjoys taking long naps while his mom finishes her final season in the band.

So smooth 😎

The drum major entrance and salute by @su_humanjukebox is unmatched. Love how much support the LSU fans show.

🚨🚨 The @nubands @numarchingband have been benched at pregame for tonight’s game vs Penn State. The athletics dept moved the band to play at a food festival during pregame to avoid the band playing for an empty stadium. However, tonight is the opening of their new stadium which should be a sold out occasion so the justification makes no sense. Plus the band has played to nearly empty stadiums for decades, so now they care about the band playing to no one? They’ve been more dedicated than any other part of the university. This breaks 100 years of tradition and the school has made no commitment on the band performing at pregame again. Swipe to read more. We’re asking the band family to rally in support of Northwestern and email the schools administrators with your support of the band. Let’s overwhelm them with messages. Keep it classy as always. This is a slippery slope and seeing a B1G band be benched like this is not good for our activity. by @collegemarching

The Hawkeye Marching Band from The University of Iowa honored Derek Phillips during halftime, performing the show he had helped prepare for the previous week’s game. The performance ended with the band spelling out his name across the field. ❤️

Derek sadly passed away after collapsing during the Hawkeyes’ season opener amid extreme heat.

At Marching Trend, we extend our deepest condolences to Derek’s family, friends, students, and every member of the Hawkeye Marching Band who called him family.

We’re sending love and heartfelt hugs to everyone grieving this tremendous loss. May Derek’s passion, kindness, and memory live on through the people and music he touched. 🕊️
