An incredible amount of reason to show gratitude. There is nothing that brings me more gratitude than being in the best place in the world, with the best people in the world, while celebrating what makes us the most passionate. While this was true at the 97th Iowa FFA Leadership Conference last week, it has also ran true for me all year. Every chapter visit, conference, conversation, high-five, laugh… has been exactly that for me. Home this year has not been a place, building, or dot on the map, home has been celebrating all of the successes of 20,000 of my best friends. I thank God for every second that I got to spend with all of you, you all have no idea what you have done for me. All for His glory. “The Future’s Right Now” This week at the 97th National FFA Convention and Expo the theme was “Engage” which I thought encapsulated the entire week as a whole. Engage in members’ successes. Sitting in the front row of every session, we got to celebrate and cheer for all of the Iowan FFA members that saw the stage who worked so hard to receive the National attention that they so deserved. Engage in new and old friendships. I got to meet a lot of incredible people this week and had the chance to further enrich present friendships. Whether this was through sitting down and having vulnerable conversations, dance parties in the hotel room, ice cream at Steak and Shake, or anything else in between, engaging with other members from across the country was an incredible opportunity. And engage in positive change for the organization. Serving as a delegate this year was awesome and having the chance to talk with members about what the future holds in this organization was nothing short of amazing. This entire week has been full of engaging in others and engaging in positive change. The theme song of this entire convention said that “The Future’s Right Now”. And after this week, nothing has reigned as more true than that statement right there. #ffa24 #ffasnfm #blessed by @collin_2_bauer

State Officer Summit! This week in DC has been full of advocacy training, playing the “blow dart game”, talking with our legislators, and so much more! It doesn’t get much better than being in my favorite city in the world, representing my favorite organization, doing it all with my favorite people from home, and across the country. #blessed by @collin_2_bauer

Blessed. That is the word that I keep coming back to as I think and reflect on this last year. I’d like to take this moment to count my blessings and thank everyone who has helped me along this journey that has been and will continue to be. To the 2023-24 team, Thank you will never be enough. Each of you have changed my life in more ways than one. Your love and support towards me is unconditional, and I hope to have given you 8 the fraction of support you have provided me. To the 2024-25 team, Watching you all run on stage with your smiling faces and the visual passion for this organization was infectious. You have all already made an impact on me, and I’m excited to see you do the same for the Iowa FFA. To my family and supporting cast, Each of you have taught me in more ways than one. You have taught me how to love the people around me, work hard every single day, and have shown me that none of this is for me, but for His glory. I could not be more thankful for all of you. To the Iowa FFA, When it comes to counting my blessings, it is impossible to overlook the almost 20,000 members who have given me everything. It is because of all of you that I am the person I am today and I could not be more blessed to serve as your president for the next year. These blessings are ones that I hold close to my heart and I am elated that I can count these blessings in the blue jacket for one more year. #blessed by @collin_2_bauer

🇦🇺ILSSO 2024🇦🇺 My trip to Australia was truly a life changing experience. Two weeks ago today I set out on a journey to learn more about the agriculture industry and to see and learn about a part of the world I have never seen before. While accomplishing that, what I did not expect was the lifetime friendships made during these two weeks. On this trip I was beside 74 other state officers who pushed me to truly “Be Bold” and step out of my comfort zone. There were lots of inside jokes, memes made, and meaningful conversations had. As I sit on a plane flying back to Iowa I have had a chance to look back through all of these photos and make a poorly organized collage. Despite seeing some really fascinating aspects of agriculture in the Land Down Under, most of these pictures are with other people. Even though I saw some really cool things, I would say that I met even cooler people along the way. Here are three lessons my new friends have taught me the last two weeks: 1. There is nothing that can make you better in life than surrounding yourself with the right people. 2. Life is too short to say no. 3. Whether we are on the other side of the country or the other side of the world, we all live fairly similar lives. 6 months ago 9 individuals rushed the stage at Hilton Coliseum knowing that their lives would be changed forever. Little did I know it would be the best 6 months of my entire life. Today marks the halfway point of our state officer year and I could not be more grateful for new friendships made, lessons learned, and serving all of the members of the Iowa FFA. Iowa FFA, thank you for everything, and I could not be more excited to serve you all for the next 6 months with 8 of my best friends. by @collin_2_bauer

I’m making this post in the airport of a delayed flight, but even after a crazy afternoon today, I can’t help but look back with appreciation and gratitude for the State Officer Summit in Washington D.C. Even after getting the great chance to meet with our legislators and become better equipped for our years of service, I could not be more blessed to have made connections with others from all across the country. This is a post that I have been scared of making for four years now. Dedicating 9 years of my life to this game has not only been a great experience for me, but it has also taught me valuable lessons along the way. It has brought me great friendships and has brought me some of my favorite memories that I will cherish for a lifetime.
